This Subaru Outback came in with harsh shifting, transmission warning lights on the dash and cruise control not working ❌🛠️
This is a very common transmission issue on these Subarus, and this one was no exception
Replaced the faulty valve body and gave it a thorough road test to make sure everything was shifting as it should and it was back on the road!✅👨🏻‍🔧

Another one through - this 2015 BT-50 came in with a few lights on the dash and slipping gears.

A fairly common issue on these models, this one ended up needed a valve body replacement to get it shifting properly again.

This is a good reminder of why regular transmission servicing is so important. Fresh fluid and routine servicing help keep the valve body and other internal components working properly, and in many cases can help prevent expensive repairs down the track.

Another one back on the road! ⚙️🛠️

This 2009 Toyota Aurion came in with the transmission hard shifting, replaced the transmission solenoids and got it shifting smoothly again.

Rob is a transmission specialist, so we regularly diagnose and repair transmissions and gearboxes!

2011 Volkswagen Amarok in after the timing belt snapped whilst driving
Found that the cylinder head had been damaged in the process and was unrepairable - customer supplied a new cylinder head

Had to order in some special tools for this one, but finally we got it sorted (a fair while later)

Blue slipped and the car is back on the road!

We're lucky to have a great extra set of hands in the workshop these school holidays! 👨‍🔧

A big shoutout to Tait, (who is also Robs son), who's been helping out around the workshop and getting a taste of life as a mechanic.
He's done such a good job that he'll be joining us next year as an apprentice!

We're stoked to support the next generation of skilled mechanics and can't wait to see what the future holds. 🚙🔧👨🏻‍🔧
