We had Martin's Ducati in to fit up some fresh rubber, new fuel tap to fix the old leaking one, fix up the front brakes as well as sort out some air/vacuum leaks and get the carby's dialed in.

Neat little Honda GB400 cafe racer on the bench for some general maintenance. Replacement rear brake shoes, and service to the rear brake hub, fresh cush drive rubbers and new chain and sprockets. Obviously replaced that rear brake arm bolt with something more appropriate.

One door closes, another one opens.....

The last 11 days have been MASSIVE!

TrackerandCo has moved workshops from our old Tempe location, and into our New Marrickville warehouse.

Still a lot to organise with the new shop, but I couldn't have done this epic move without a solid crew of friends around to help. They all went hard, and got me into the new shop within a pretty ambitious timeline.

I cannot thank them enough.

Can't wait to show you the new shop when it's all sorted, and get back into the long list of customers jobs.

This week had had plenty going on, a fair bit behind the scenes, with more on that later.

Among other jobs, we did manage to get both of Brad's Slider engines built, and ready to run for the weekend.

Taking advantage of some workshop light in the early evening, they are looking pretty good up there!!

This 1977 Yamaha XT500 is one of my personal bikes.
It's actually one of my favourites in the collection.

It's also a bike we see a fair bit through the workshop, and we currently have 2 sitting in the (long) shop queue waiting to be sorted out.

It's a love-hate relationship at times, with what we do here working on vintage motorcycles, with often so many hours spent getting these beauties dialed in, but the joy on the customers face makes all the time and effort worth it.

It's all smiles as we shut the doors on 2022. It's been stressful, tiring, exciting, fun, and everything in between, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Thank you to everyone that has played a role in making this year a success, and those that have supported me in a pretty crazy year.

Some exciting and fun things happening in 2023, so stay tuned!!

We are still pretty full over here, but I need to take a break and recharge the batteries so we will be back open Tuesday 3rd January.

We had Greame's beautiful Honda XR75 back in recently to replace the carby, as the old one has some issues, as well as ditch the original points system, and fit up a HPI electronic ignition system.

As this kit is somewhat universal, it was up to us to get some baselines from the original system, and make sure the new system was timed correctly. For this we used a dial gauge down the spark plug hole, and made sure we had everything spot on.

Advance starts at 2000 rpm, and then double checking it reaches maximum advance at the correct RPM. With the new flywheel only using the taper, and no key way meant if you didn't know what you were doing, you could get it very wrong.

Easy starting, strong reliable spark and no maintenance means this upgrade is a no brainer.
