Indicator fluid. It really does exist!!!

This is a valve body from a Subaru CVT transmission. It controls the flow of fluid inside the transmission. The solenoids fail every now and then, degrading performance and putting quite a few warning lights on the dash. On this one, the torque converter lock-up solenoid failed. A new one soon fixed the problem

Completed this nice brake upgrade on an FG Falcon ute last week. Bendix Ultimate pads, braided lines, new fluid and a nice touch of red paint for the calipers. They really do look great under the Speedy wheels!

Had this Honda in the other week with an engine light. After a quick scan and inspection, found that a rat had chewed through the cam position sensor wiring. The animal had also left a few other "gifts" for us as well. A quick rewire and clean-up had the car back on the road within a few hours.

Here's a dual mass flywheel we pulled out of a Mk V Golf. The dampening mechanism had completely failed, making an awful racket as it rattled around the bell housing. A new clutch and flywheel kit soon fixed the problem.

Spent last week at the MTA Institute learning about all things hybrid and electric. Next up are a few changes to the workshop before we start accepting these vehicles for service and repair, from around Sept.
