🎉 Celebrating 25 Years with Shane! 🎉
This week we’re proud to celebrate our Dealer Principal, Shane, on his 25th year anniversary with the business.
Shane began his journey in the Parts Department at Mandurah Holden back in January 2001 and has since worked his way through every department and almost every role in the dealership the only exception being Administration (we don’t let him anywhere near the important paperwork 😄).
In 2019, Shane and his wife Sherron (who has been by Shane's side for all of these 25 years) purchased Mandurah Holden, which has since grown into what we now know as West Coast Automotive Group.
You’ll still see Shane around the dealership every day — always up for a chat and as hands-on as ever.
In just a few short months, Shane will also become our longest-standing team member (currently a very close second!).
Congratulations Shane, and here’s to 25 more years 🍾
Since 2019, Shane and Sherron have continued to grow the group by adding multiple new franchises — with even more exciting news to come in 2026!

More about us: As a family business, Lou Van Daele opened Mandurah Holden in October 1993, with a total of 5 staff. In April 2019 Lou's son Shane purchased the business from him and now run's the dealership with his wife Sherron. West Coast Automotive Group was formed with future growth in mind and within a few short month’s Shane and Sherron had added HAVAL and Great Wall Dealerships to the family followed by the opening of West Coast Polaris in a new site just metres from the main dealership.
West Coast Automotive Group continues to be a business where you can deal directly with the owner of the business!
Our current main showroom site was purchased in early 2006 this allowed better access for our customers, including more customer parking and larger new and used vehicle display areas. In September 2012 we started construction of our new state of the art showroom and workshop facility. We moved into these new premises in July 2013. With our grand opening in October 2013. This momentous occasion also coincided with our 20th birthday. Whilst the business has grown since its opening in 1993 our family business has retained its focus to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
Our new Showrooms and workshop facilities have allowed us to have a larger number of New and Used cars on display as well as more convenient parking for both sales and service. Our customer waiting area is still a great place to sit and relax while your car is being serviced with a TV, Kids Toys, Free Wifi and refreshments always available.
