Friday 9th January 2026, our local Harcourt community was impacted by a devastating bushfire.
Many of our members and committee have been directly and significantly affected — with homes, property, cherished possessions, pets, and livestock lost. Honestly, every one of us knows someone who has been touched by this fire.
Recovery will take time. The fire is still not yet under control, and the road ahead will be long.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the emergency personnel and local heroes who stood in the face of fire to protect what they could of our community. To their families, waiting anxiously for their safe return — we thank you and hold you in our thoughts. As a community, we are indebted to these precious humans. Words will never be enough.
Our hearts are with those who have lost their livelihoods, and with those who will forever remember the roar of the fire, the fear, and the uncertainty of evacuating or waiting for news from loved ones on what was a Fierce Friday.
As a motocross community, we stand with the community who supports us. We are here — now and into the future.
We urge everyone to remain vigilant. Please do not enter affected areas unnecessarily. Please support one another with kindness and empathy, and reach out if you need help. It ain’t weak to speak. Important support contacts will be shared in the comments.
We know many will want to help. As the community begins to process the extent of the impact, information on how to support and donate will be shared via our stories. We ask that everyone respects the privacy and mourning of those affected during this incredibly difficult time.
