Not all lubricants perform the same. 🚗
It’s been almost 50 years since the famous TV commercial first appeared on our screens, eventually becoming something of an adage. The line “Oils ain’t oils” originated from the brand carrying the red, green and white identifiers. An advertisement featuring a character named Sol, who stressed the importance of choosing high‑quality oils over cheaper substitutes. The phrase has since entered everyday language as a reminder that oils differ greatly in quality—and that using a premium lubricant is essential for proper performance.👍👋
ZEUS DIESEL MECHANICS -PM Lubrication's distributor on the Atherton Tableland has filed a report which highlights the fact with aplomb.
A person with a 2008 Ford Explorer took his vehicle to a local dealer for a regular service. Wonderful. During the 20-kilometre journey home, the explorer gradually started to produce a whine, probably from the rear differential.
A check was carried out. Confirmed! There was no oil in the rear diff.✔️😕😏 Oil was added to the compartment; however, the noise remained. It was quite pronounced. One would have been unable to drive a long distance with the persistent annoyance. The problem persisted and persisted for months. Before doing the obvious and returning to the original service centre, the vehicle owner thought he would take the Ford to Zeus Diesel Mechanics to check it out. The PM Lubrication distributor confirmed the noise was quite something.
He wanted to try something, though, before it left the workshop.

The lubricant was drained before PM108 MultiGearLife 80W90 GL-5 Gear Oil was used to fill the damaged diff.
BINGO! The result was immediate. Noise gone.
Despite what many think, Quality Never Goes Out of Style, and it does Reduce Costs.😉😎
AND WHY NOT? After all, PM108 outperformed other high performance lubricants used in Indy race cars…. It was a logical choice! Ask Gary Brabham, he would not use anything else!
