😂Apparently we're supposed to run a tourism business. Mostly, we’re just a humpback whale fan club now. 😂🐋💙

Whale season is our absolute favourite time of year. We live for it. The calves, the breaches, the curious little faces popping up beside the boat, the moments that leave every person onboard completely speechless. It gets us every single time. 🥲

But the annual heartbreak is creeping closer. We have not yet noticed a dramatic change in travel direction but their journey south to Antarctica will begin again soon and we are already feeling mildly devastated about it. 😭

That said, we are still running whale watching next weekend with every expectation that there will be plenty of whales around. Those departures are already sold out, with only a couple of spots left on Friday at 3:00 pm. Book directly here: https://www.bookeo.com/nauticalbynature

Last year, we were seeing whales on every trip right through until the end of September, with only the final two departures enjoying a coastal cruise instead. ⛴️

The whale experts are also expecting this season may run a little longer than usual. If that proves to be the case, we will keep a close eye on whale numbers and sightings and may look at opening additional whale watching departures for those who missed out. 🤞

No promises just yet, as it will be entirely dependent on what the whales are doing and whether they've read the emails, but if extra trips become possible, we will let you know right here. 🙏

🌱Spring has officially sprung, so we have the perfect excuse to turn Endless Days into a floating tropical gig again 🌺🍹

Mango Junction Entertainment are back onboard on Sunday 27 September for our final live music cruise of the year.

Kick off your shoes, grab a cocktail and settle in for 2.5 hours of live music, nibbles, ocean air and the changing colours of afternoon over the water from aboard Endless Days. With only 10 guests onboard, it feels less like a night out and more like your own little private concert at sea.

Come dressed in your best tropical gear, bring your relaxed party mood and let Mango Junction do the rest. By the time the lights come on, things tend to get very fun.

We’re starting to think Lucy might actually be our good luck charm… 😂🐋💙

Some of you might recognise Lucky Lucy from one of our favourite Mark Fitz photos, standing on the front deck with the Aussie flag while whales breached again and again right in front of her.

Well, she came back out with us the other day… and apparently brought the magic with her. 😍

Another spectacular afternoon, another ridiculous amount of breaching, and a new nickname officially earned: Lucky Lucy! 😂💙

We’ve just opened up TWO whale watching trips for tomorrow:

The weather isn’t quite as picture-perfect as the last few days, but it’s holding nicely for us at the moment and we’re making the most of every good window we get!

And with this many mums, calves and very enthusiastic humpbacks still hanging around Mackay… who knows what tomorrow has in store. 👀🐋

Yesterday & Friday. Every. Single. Trip. 🤯🐋

Every time we headed out, the whales gave us something completely different to come home talking about.

Including this big fella, who decided there was absolutely no need to admire him from a distance when he could cruise right underneath us instead. 😂💙

And the good news? The weather is holding beautifully for us through Monday and Tuesday, and it might even stretch into Wednesday! 🙌

We’ve already got a couple of departures open with seats available, with potential to add more trips as they fill. And if Wednesday keeps looking this good, you may see some Wednesday departures pop up too, just like this guy did. 👀

With what the whales have been dishing up out there lately, we’re VERY happy to have a few more beautiful days to go and see what they’re up to. 🐋😂

Well THAT was a way to finish the day! 😳🐋💙

This afternoon we found the biggest number of mum and calf pods we’ve ever seen together in one area.

FIVE separate mums with their calves! 🤯

There were whales everywhere we looked. Calves breaching over and over again, mums cruising alongside them, and just for good measure, a lone adult further out decided to start breaching and carrying on too. 😂

It was one of those trips where you genuinely don’t know which direction to look.

We’re getting further into the part of the season we absolutely LOVE, when more mums and their calves are making their way through our waters, and apparently this afternoon they all decided to have a mothers’ group meeting in the same patch of ocean. 😂🐋

As always, every whale watching trip is completely different and the whales make absolutely no promises about what they’ll get up to. But THIS afternoon? Bloody hell. 💙

And if that gives you a sudden urge to go whale watching tomorrow... 👀😂
