Can you spot the problem?

This Volvo came to us with an engine misfire. Once the spark plugs were removed, the darker plug from cylinder 4 provided a clear indication of where the issue was occurring.

With the intake manifold requiring removal to access the ignition coils and spark plugs, we replaced all five coils with Bosch units and fitted a set of NGK iridium plugs.

When access is involved, we believe it’s important to use quality components and do the job properly the first time.

We’ve recently added another 4.5 tonne hoist to the workshop.

It’s a handy addition that will give us a little more room to work and help with servicing and repairs across a wider range of vehicles.

We’re always looking for small ways to improve the workshop and make things a little easier for us and our customers.

Not every job is a simple one.

This vehicle was brought to us on a tow truck with the oil pressure light on.

After checking it over, we were able to confirm that the engine had no oil pressure and unfortunately a replacement engine was necessary.

This is why regular servicing and preventative maintenance are so important. Catching problems early can be the difference between a repair and having to replace an engine.
