Another VE SS through the workshop this week for a transmission refresh 🔧

This one received a full transmission service along with new valve body seals to sort out internal wear and help restore shift quality. Finished off with a clutch relearn procedure to dial everything back in and give it that tight, responsive “new transmission” feel again.

These VE autos respond massively to proper servicing — smoother shifts, better drivability and happier transmission temps all round 👌

Another one through the workshop, this time a VW Crafter in for its 175,000km logbook service 👨‍🔧

During our inspection we also picked up a faulty harmonic balancer along with a worn belt tensioner before they had the chance to cause bigger issues down the track. Parts have now been ordered and the van will be back in next week for repairs 🔧

This time it’s my own R31 Skyline 👀

Packing a Ford Barra conversion with a standard gas bottom end freshened up to turbo spec, built head and a two-speed Powerglide behind it, all controlled through a Haltech Elite 2500 setup with traction control.

Definitely a serious combo that should make plenty of noise and plenty of boost 😎

A lot of fabrication, wiring and setup work has gone into this build and it’s getting closer to hitting the road and track.

Watch out for this car at upcoming roll racing and no prep events 🔥

Another one in the workshop — this Ford Ranger Wildtrak in for a full service and transmission service.

This one was over 10,000km overdue, which is never ideal, especially when it comes to keeping your engine and transmission in good shape long-term. Servicing on time isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s what keeps these things running smoothly and avoids expensive repairs down the track.

Another one in the workshop — this time a Land Rover Discovery Sport that came in using coolant, blowing white smoke and running rough.

After a pressure test and a bit of fault finding, the culprit turned out to be a failed water-to-air intercooler, allowing coolant to mix with the charge air.

This one got lucky — the intercooler’s position prevented large amounts of coolant from entering the intake manifold. Otherwise, we’d be talking about a much bigger problem… and Rodney knocking on the side of the block.

Diagnosed and sorted before it turned into a full engine failure 👌

Another brand new Mitsubishi Triton in today, part of a fleet we look after, in for its first service.

This one was done onsite while the owner caught up on some well-earned sleep after night shift — no downtime, no hassle.
