After 3 full race weekends, the brakes on the RX-7 were starting to feel a bit tired, so it was time for a complete overhaul before the next event.
​Glad I pulled them down when I did! Once disassembled, we found cracks running through the front drilled and slotted rotors alongside scorched pads.
​To sort it out properly, we’ve rebuilt all four calipers with fresh seals, installed new pads, and ditched the drilled rotors. We’re moving to the latest DBA 4000 series rotors to get better thermal management and structural integrity under high track temps.

HSRCA Sydney Classic 2026 Recap 🏁

​Our team returned to Sydney Motorsport Park (SMSP) this past weekend to compete in the HSRCA Sydney Classic Supersprint category.

​We kicked off the event strong, setting a new Personal Best of 1:49.3 in the very first session—a significant 2-second improvement over our previous benchmark! 🏎️💥

​However, the most rewarding aspect of the weekend was the car's reliability and competitive pace. We successfully completed 28 laps, providing us with invaluable data and track time.

​As always, the pursuit of performance never stops. Looking at the data, our development focus moving forward will target:

​Optimizing brake performance

​Fine-tuning suspension geometry

​Refining driving technique and lines
