We were proud to sponsor the Glencore Apprentice Race Team at the 2026 Formula High Schools NOTTA Grand Prix, held at Lakeside Park last Friday.

The event saw 32 Glencore Queensland apprentices put their skills to the test, building three Le Mans-style race cars from the ground up before taking on a six-hour endurance challenge.

Our Technical Specialist, Mik Boulton, attended on behalf of Tyre Doctor to support the team and see their hard work in action.

At Tyre Doctor, we believe that investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople helps our industry go further together. We're proud to support initiatives that encourage hands-on learning, teamwork and practical skills development.

Experience has a lot to teach us about working safely.

Before retiring, we caught up with Allan Klinac, one of our Site Supervisors, and asked him what advice he would pass on to others.

His answer was simple: take your time, listen to the people around you and, if you’re unsure, stop and ask.

During National Safe Work Month, Allan’s words are a timely reminder that safe work is built into the decisions we make every day, looking out for each other, sharing knowledge and taking the time to do the job safely.

Now retired, Allan is looking forward to travelling Australia, spending more time with family and hopefully catching that mighty Murray cod.

Thanks for being part of the Tyre Doctor team, Allan. We wish you all the best in retirement.

Investing in our people strengthens the service we deliver.

Last week, our tyre repair teams from across Australia came together in Muswellbrook for a dedicated Tyre Repair Workshop.

The workshop focused on safe tyre handling, inspections, repair techniques, equipment, reporting and Australian Standards — refreshing technical knowledge and reinforcing best practice across our teams.

It was also a valuable opportunity to share knowledge across branches and strengthen our tyre repair leadership.

The two days wrapped up with some friendly competition and team bonding at the go-kart track!

This year’s theme, Safe work is for life, is a reminder that safety is about more than preventing harm in the moment. It’s about protecting our people, their health and their families future.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we're digging through the archives.

In 2019, we proudly donated $42,000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) to help purchase three intensive care transport ventilators for aircraft based in Broken Hill and Dubbo.

The RFDS plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare and emergency aeromedical services to rural and remote communities across Australia.

We were proud to support their lifesaving work and give back to the regional communities that have been an important part of the Tyre Doctor journey.

This month, we’re recognising Aaron Bailey, a Supervisor at one of our sites in the Hunter Valley.

After 7 years onsite, Aaron recently stepped into a leadership role, using his experience and site knowledge to support his crew and keep each shift running smoothly.
