Meet John Porter – Owner & Lead Technician of Lawnton Mechanical Repairs.
John Porter is a highly experienced, Ford-trained automotive professional with over 20 years in the industry.
He began his career as an apprentice with Ford Australia, progressing into senior roles including Master Technician, Workshop Foreman, Apprentice Trainer, and Service Advisor. John later broadened his expertise working across a wide range of vehicle brands, including RAM, LDV, SsangYong, Chery, Proton, Mahindra, JMC and Tata—giving customers confidence their vehicle is in expert hands, no matter what they drive.
In 2022, John and his wife Beth took over the long-established Lawnton Mechanical Repairs, proudly continuing a legacy of more than 30 years serving the local community. John is known for his honest advice, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship at fair prices.
Ford-bred (and a Ranger driver), John is dedicated to ongoing training and staying up to date with the latest automotive technology—so customers receive reliable repairs they can trust.
