While we’re doing flash backs , I found the pics of the John Deere 6068 that we rebuilt late last year , customer developed a miss and he replaced an injector believeing this was the issue , upon inspection number 3 pushrods had broken into several pieces , this engine was run for a while with the miss until it wouldn’t wind over , the video in the comments shows the smoke coming from the crankcase showing massive blow by , once the head was removed you can see the difference I piston height between number 6 and number 1 at tdc , fuel leaking last number 3 piston due to not firing because of the broken pushrods led to number 1&2 main spinning bearings and number one big end being destroyed along with the crankshaft journal , when we stripped the engine and measured the crankshaft tunnel we found the block was destroyed , luckily a good second hand block was found and we were able source a rebuild kit and get the machine running again , extremely hard engine to find parts and Information for and one I really wouldnt like to do again but I do live a challenge 😂

Opened up a can of worms when we starting fault finding this wiring loom in a Hino recently that had dpf regen issues , what a day that was , numerous logged faults in the ecm causing failed regenerations every time , wiring loom repaired , problem sorted 👌🏻

Flash back to a few months ago when we did a rear end change for one of our most loyal customers , earlier in the year we repaired one of the diff housings that was badly cracked as seen in the photos as a temporary measure to get the truck through a busy period until he had the time needed to carry out the rear end replacement ,

1.7 Takeuchi excavator came to us struggling to run and knocking , customer was dreading an engine replacement , a quick inspection found no.3 exhaust pushrod had popped out and was sitting next to the rocker due to a nut on the rocker shaft coming loose , studs replaced and a quick service and valve set saved this customer a big repair bill 💪🏻

It’s been a bit of a gearbox month lately , this was a gearbox we recently rebuilt out of a 2018 Mitsubishi triton for a valued long time customer , this gearbox had originally been repaired as part of a recall when new for the triton 3rd gear synchro hub fault , clearances on the 3rd gear hub were never checked properly leading to over heating of the the gears and causing the galling seen in the photos , customer stated the gearbox was stuck in 3rd when it was actually the galling on the gear causing it to drag on the main shaft , we stripped the gearbox and measured every gear set for clearance and replaced the damage hub with an upgraded version and re machined 2 damaged gears to the correct oil clearance , full bearing set and got rid of the terrible dual mass flywheel , another super satisfied customer 💯

Do you have a transmission not changing gears properly ? One that no one wants to touch or have been told isn’t repairable and you need a new one ? This was the case for this customer with a front wheel drive Fiat Ducato recently , grinding into fifth and noisy under load , we took the challenge after the customer was told “just buy a new one “ removed stripped and inspected measured all clearances , 5th gear synchro ring had split which is common in European transmissions , 1 new synchro ring and new shaft bearings replaced and refitted , customer states it’s never driven that nice since they’ve had it 👌🏻 if you are having transmission issues give us a call and we may just be able to help , we haven’t found a gearbox yet we haven’t been able to fix

Had a customer ring this morning about an annoying squeak and horrible handling this morning , a quick inspection found both side upper control arm bolts loose and the left hand rear upper bush was half way out of the arm and the nut was only on by a couple of threads 😮 this vehicle had recently been serviced by a dealer under capped price servicing and was missed 🤦🏻 if something feels off in your vehicle or just doesn’t sound right get it checked by your mechanic asap or give us a call and we’ll be happy to have a look , this could have been so much worse

One of our customers has had some trouble lately with fan destruction on a Terex PT110 that does a lot of mulching work , the original design of the fan protection just wasn’t up to the task . Material that is too light for a start and pushes out of the mounting setup with the smallest stick that causes the grill mesh to contact the radiator and tear the blades apart ,
We reconfigured and repurposed the original fan protection with our own take on forestry guarding that will take the punishment and also allow for more room between the grill and the fan to when accidents do happen , we like a challenge and are pretty happy with how this job turned out for less than the price of a new fan , as is our customer

Lucky save earlier this year with a 4jj1 with a broken crank bolt and destroyed balancer , luckily the crankshaft wasn’t damaged and a new key was able to be fitted with a new pulley 🤙🏻😂
