Okay, apparently we need to clear something up.

I recently shared a post about friendship and reminding people to tell their friends how much you appreciate them.

The photo showed an incoming call from “Sophie (ICE 1 - BESTIE)”, with the number 0468 399 867, along with a photo of me and a friend.

I've since received a few comments suggesting I didn't respect her privacy by sharing her name and phone number.

So, to set the record straight, that wasn't her phone number, and Sophie isn't even her name.

“Sophie” is actually the name of someone I went to school with in Year 3. The woman pictured isn't Sophie, and her real name is... none of your business. That's kind of the point. I don't want people searching for her on Facebook simply because she appeared in one of my posts.

And the phone number? That's the public Dixon's Hazard Response number. It's not even my personal number.

In fact, when I mention someone by name in a post, there's a pretty good chance I've changed their name specifically to protect their privacy.

So, who doesn't respect privacy again? 😂

Sometimes the best way to protect someone's personal information is to make sure you were never given it in the first place.

A quick update for this weekend.

Firstly, I want to thank everyone for the continuous support, encouragement and love over the past week. The messages and check-ins genuinely mean a lot to me. ❤️

Unfortunately, at this stage, Dixon’s Hazard Response will remain unavailable this weekend.

If you require assistance in the meantime:

🛣️ Freeway or highway: Main Roads WA, 138 138
🚔 In a dangerous location: Police Assistance, 131 444
🚨 Emergency or immediate danger: 000

I’m disappointed I can’t be out there helping, but I hope to be back to serving the community very soon.

Stay safe, look after yourselves and look out for each other. 💛

I don't have a huge circle of friends, but the ones I do have mean more to me than they probably realise.

To those I talk to regularly, thank you for the messages, laughs, check-ins and for simply being there. I appreciate you more than I probably say.

And to those I haven't spoken to in months, years or even decades, please don't mistake time or distance for not caring. You still matter to me, and I'm still grateful our paths crossed.

Life moves quickly. Tell your friends you appreciate them. You never know when they might need to hear it. ❤️

Okay guys, I made a mistake, that post was for tomorrow. Sorry, secondly, I was wondering why my phone was blowing up. That’s my number in the photo. Not hers.

But, by all means, its got payID, we can work out something. Maybe $20 gets you one foot pic?

Growing up in group homes, I learnt pretty quickly how to wear a mask.

Even now, I can look calm, relaxed and completely fine while there's a lot going on behind the scenes. Things get to me too. I get overwhelmed. I have bad days. Sometimes life just gets heavy.

I'm not posting this because I need sympathy. I don't.

I'm posting it because I want one thing from you.

Promise me that if life ever feels like too much, you'll reach out.

Call a mate. Call family. Call someone you trust. Ask for help. You don't have to explain everything, and you don't have to wait until you're at breaking point.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can say is, "SOS, can anyone hear me?"

Please don't suffer behind the mask alone. 💙

A tragic loss in Osborne Park today.

My thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of the 29-year-old women, a tow truck driver who tragically lost her life while at work.

As someone who regularly works alongside and relies on our towing community, this one hits close to home.

No one should go to work and not make it home.

Rest in peace. ❤️

This is just a reminder that Main Roads Western Australia offers FREE towing. No money, no worries.

If your vehicle is broken down or unsafe on a freeway, highway, or Main Roads-controlled road, they may relocate it to a nearby safe location such as a car park, servo or side street.

Call 138 138 and ask for a Safe Tow.

They'll confirm if you're eligible.

Don't risk your life, repairing your vehicle on the freeway

Dixon’s Hazard Response now has an app!

Well, technically it’s a web app, but you can install it straight onto your phone and use it just like a normal app.

This has been something I’ve wanted for a while, and it’s pretty bloody cool to finally see it working.

Through the app you can:

• Request roadside assistance and send your exact location
• See when I’ve accepted your request
• Get an ETA and follow the progress of your request
• Message me directly through the app
• Receive updates when I’m on my way or have arrived
• View your previous requests
• Leave feedback after a job
• See whether I’m currently available, or when I’ll be back

It also gives me a much better system on my end to receive, manage and keep track of requests.

A massive shout-out to Perth Pop-Up Movies for taking my idea and actually building the thing. There have been plenty of messages back and forth, changes, testing and probably a few ideas I've thrown at him halfway through 😂, but he's done an awesome job putting it all together.

The app is now LIVE, and I'm excited to see how it goes in the real world.

As always, Dixon’s Hazard Response is about keeping people safe on the side of the road, and hopefully this makes getting help that little bit easier.

I'll put the link in the comments 👇
