Not every gearbox needs replacing, a lot of them just need someone who actually knows what they're looking at.
When a reconditioned gearbox comes through the workshop at All Four x 4 Spares in Kotara, NSW, our techs strip it right down. Every component is cleaned, measured and inspected, worn parts get replaced, and it's rebuilt to factory spec before it goes back in. No shortcuts, no guesswork, just done properly the first time.
We handle gearbox rebuilds across 70/79 Series LandCruiser, Hilux, Ranger, Patrol, and Land Rover/Range Rover. If you're stuck deciding between a reco and a full replacement, it's worth a chat before you commit the coin.

This 2.8L facelift Troopy came through the All Four x 4 Spares workshop in Kotara, Newcastle for a Terrain Tamer 3950kg GVM upgrade, full ARB front-end, Carbon Offroad winch and Safari snorkel. Each mod's tagged on-screen so you can see exactly where it sits on the truck.

This 2025 Isuzu D-Max XT rolled out of the Kotara workshop with a full GWorks fitout and as the authorised GWorks dealer for Newcastle and the Hunter, it's a build we know inside out.
The owner wanted a genuine touring-ready ute, so it copped the lot:
a 1700mm aluminium tray with trundle drawer and mud guards, a 1500mm aluminium canopy with colour-coded side doors, undertray toolboxes matched to the canopy, roof rack cross bars, a spare wheel carrier, a lockable jerry can holder and a ladder.
Being an authorised GWorks dealer means the fit and finish is done to spec and backed properly, not a bodge job. The customer's stoked, and a suspension upgrade is already lined up next.
