After a busy week, the workshop is reset, the floor is cleared, and we’re ready for the next batch of repairs to roll on in.

Keeping the workshop clean and organised helps us work safely, protect customer vans, and maintain the standard of workmanship we expect from ourselves.

Delaminated Composite Flooring Repair

This repair involved removing the existing vinyl flooring, cutting out the delaminated composite floor section, and bonding in new composite material.

Once the new section was secured, the joins were smoothed with filler before cutting and laying new vinyl flooring in one complete piece.

All of this was completed carefully in and around the existing furniture, helping retain the original layout while restoring strength, finish, and usability to the floor.

Another solid repair completed by the Caratech team.

Another big job out the door.

This motorhome originally came to us for a roof repair completed under insurance. While it was here, the customer decided they wanted to take things a step further and transform the vehicle with a full promotional wrap.

Before the wrap could be applied, there was a lot of preparation involved — including UV-damaged decal removal and significant bodywork repairs to get the surface ready.

From there, we were able to custom design and apply the new wrap, turning it into a bright, eye-catching vehicle ready to promote their organisation wherever it goes.

More importantly, the customer was wrapped with the end result… no pun intended.

A big transformation and a great result.

Big transformation on this one.

This customer came to us with significant water damage through the kitchen area, which we carried out under insurance.

Once the van was stripped back and repairs were underway, they saw an opportunity to make the space work better for how they actually live and travel.

Out went the ensuite — shower, vanity and toilet all removed — and in its place we created a practical study nook and library setup.

A much more usable space that suits their lifestyle, whether they’re working remotely or just want somewhere quiet to sit, read and relax.

We’re always happy to think outside the box and help bring these ideas to life while the van is already in for repairs.

We really can’t stress enough how important annual moisture testing and pressure testing are when it comes to protecting your van.

Yes, manufacturers generally require seals to be routinely inspected, but the reality is this — if a fixture hasn’t been installed correctly during the build process, and the only visible seal is the overlay seal, the real issue can remain hidden until damage has already occurred.

In this case, the hot water system had only a basic overlay seal applied around the surround. Water was able to track past that barrier and cause extensive damage behind the scenes.

We also found the front handle screws had not been sealed, creating another clear entry point for water.

Unfortunately, these kinds of issues are not always obvious from the outside, which is exactly why regular testing matters. It can help identify hidden problems early, before they turn into major repairs.

There were several other leak entry points found on this van as well — but that’s a story for another post.

If you want peace of mind about how watertight your van really is, annual moisture and pressure testing is one of the smartest checks you can do.

This Swift Rio came to us after hail damage, front and side impact damage, and months of sitting idle elsewhere with no progress.

European van. Hard-to-source parts. No shortcuts.

We replaced the roof, fitted a new fibreglass flare, repaired the damage, and finished it off with a full cut and polish. The scratches came out of the gel coat and windows beautifully, and the van now presents better than new.

And that silicone bead?
That’s the standard.
Anything less is not acceptable.
