🏁 BLOOMS THE CHEMIST KINGAROY BACKING THE 82ND QUEENSLAND SPEEDCAR TITLE! 🏁

We’re very excited to announce that Jack Newbery and Blooms The Chemist - Kingaroy are back on board for another season and will take on the Naming Rights Sponsorship of the 82nd Queensland Speedcar Title on Saturday, 13th March 2027.

The event will officially be known as the:

🏁 BLOOMS THE CHEMIST KINGAROY 82ND QUEENSLAND SPEEDCAR TITLE 🏁

This is shaping up to be a huge one. There is already plenty of talk around American and New Zealand drivers potentially making the trip, joining Speedcars from across Australia for what could be an outstanding Queensland Title field.

Jack and Blooms the Chemist Kingaroy have become massive supporters of Kingaroy Speedway, and having them continue their involvement with the club while putting their name behind an event of this calibre means a lot to us.

And March 13 won’t stop with the Speedcars. It’s one of the biggest programs on our entire calendar:

🏁 AMCA Nationals Queensland Title
🏁 Compact Speedcars Queensland Title

🎧🏁 SOUTH BURNETT HEARING IS BACK ON BOARD! 🏁🎧

We’re very pleased to have Shae and South Burnett Hearing returning as Naming Rights Sponsors of our season finale on Sunday, 2nd May 2027.

The final race meeting of the season will once again be the:

Shae has been a fantastic supporter of Kingaroy Speedway and we’re extremely grateful to have South Burnett Hearing continuing their involvement with the club for another season.

And their support won’t just be limited to the finale.

Shae will be back at Kingaroy Speedway throughout the entire season, starting with our Official Practice on Saturday, 12th September, and then attending each race meeting with custom ear buds for our drivers as well as hearing protection for spectators.

It’s a great service to have available trackside, whether you’re behind the wheel or sitting on the hill enjoying the racing, and another reason we’re so happy to have South Burnett Hearing involved with the club.

And when we get to May, there’ll be plenty happening on track to close out the season:

Ian Boettcher Race Parts 15th Annual KINGS ROYAL FINAL NIGHT FORMAT – MODIFIED SEDANS

The Kings Royal has always been about giving drivers a genuine chance to fight their way forward, no matter where they sit in the field.

The dash format we have used in recent years has been a big part of that. It has worked well, produced plenty of excitement and helped make the Kings Royal one of the most unique Modified Sedan events in the country.

This year, we are keeping that same idea, but making the Final Night format simpler and easier to follow for drivers, crews, fans, point scorers and officials.

The aim is to make the night flow a little better, while still giving every driver a chance to race their way into the A-Main.

Night 1 and Night 2 remain the same.

The change is to Final Night only.

After Night 2, the Top 7 drivers on cumulative points will be locked into the Pole Shuffle.

Those 7 drivers will not run the Final Night round of heats.

All remaining drivers will run one Final Night heat.

After that heat, points will be added to the overall weekend total.

The highest cumulative points scorer outside the locked-in Top 7 will be locked into the 8th and final Pole Shuffle spot.

The Top 18 on cumulative points will be locked into the A-Main.

The remaining cars will then race through the mains:

D-Main
Points 59–80
Top 4 transfer to C-Main

C-Main
Points 39–58 plus 4 transfers from the D-Main
Top 4 transfer to B-Main

Pole Shuffle Hot Laps
A quick run for the Pole Shuffle cars before their shuffle

Pole Shuffle
Sets the front 8 starting positions for the A-Main

B-Main
Points 19–38 plus 4 transfers from the C-Main
Top 6 transfer to A-Main

A-Main
24 cars total
18 locked in on points plus 6 transfers from the B-Main

This keeps plenty of racing on the Final Night, keeps the Kings Royal points system important, and still gives drivers a clear path into the A-Main regardless of how their first two nights have gone.

🥜🏁 MASCOTS… ROY WANTS A REMATCH! 🏁🥜

After the absolute success — and complete chaos — of last year’s Kings Royal Mascot Race, we’re doing it all again in 2027!

The Mascot Race will return on the second night of the Kings Royal, and Roy has apparently spent the entire off-season telling anyone who’ll listen that he was “robbed” last year. 😆

We’ve watched the footage.

We’re still not entirely sure what he thinks happened.

Either way, Roy wants another crack at it, so this is the early warning to official mascots everywhere — sporting clubs, businesses, schools and community groups — start stretching, start training and maybe work on that cardio. 😂

Last year proved one thing… put a heap of mascots together, add a finish line and suddenly everyone gets VERY competitive.

🥜 Roy says he’s faster this year.
🏁 Roy says last year’s result shouldn’t count.
😂 Roy has also requested a stewards enquiry nearly 12 months late.

We want another BIG field of official mascots ready to take him on in front of the Kingaroy crowd!

More details on how to get involved will come closer to the event.

We’re now only one month away from our first Official Practice of the 2026/27 season on Saturday, 12th September!

We’re very proud to announce that SunPork Group will once again continue as the Naming Rights Sponsor of the Steven Wheeler Memorial for the 2026/27 season.

The event will officially be known as the:

This is a partnership that has a particularly special connection to the event.

Steven — or “Ice Cream” as so many around speedway knew him — was a former employee of Swickers here in Kingaroy, making SunPork Group’s continued support of the memorial a fitting way to help us celebrate and remember a much-loved member of our speedway community.

SunPork Group has an enormous presence both locally and throughout Australia, producing around 20% of Australia’s pork and employing more than 1,500 people. 🥜🏁 ROY’S ABOUT TO GET BUSY AGAIN! 🏁🥜

Roy’s enjoyed his little off-season break, but he’s been told it’s nearly time to stop relaxing and get back into the swing of things at Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway!

We’ve got some big announcements coming up, and with our first official practice on Saturday, 12th September getting closer, now is the time to make sure everything is ready to go.

✅ Club memberships completed
✅ Car registrations completed
✅ Race cars getting prepared
✅ Roy pretending he’s helping

We also still have sponsorship packages available for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

With a huge calendar ahead, there are plenty of opportunities for local businesses to get involved, support the club and promote their business in front of competitors, spectators and speedway fans throughout the season.

Businesses interested in joining us for the new season are encouraged to get in touch with the club to discuss the available packages.

There’s plenty happening behind the scenes, so keep an eye on our socials over the coming weeks.
