If you can't see the truck driver's mirrors, they probably can't see you.

Heavy vehicles have significant blind spots around the front, sides and rear. In some positions an entire car can disappear from a truck driver's view.

This becomes especially important when:
• Overtaking a truck
• Merging near a truck
• Stopping or slowing directly in front of a truck
• Travelling alongside a truck at intersections or roundabouts

Remember, truck drivers can't avoid hazards they can't see.

Giving heavy vehicles plenty of space, avoiding lingering beside them, and making your movements predictable significantly reduces risks.

The goal isn't just to see the truck. It's to make sure the truck can see you

As students returned back for Term 3 last week, let's all do our part to help keep them safe on our roads.

Please remember to:

🚸 Slow down in school zones and obey the speed limit
🚌 Watch for children around school buses, crossings and footpaths
🚗 Allow a little extra travel time during the busy school drop-off and pick-up periods
🤝 Be patient and courteous as everyone settles back into the school routine

Every safe decision you make behind the wheel helps protect our young road users.

Let's work together to ensure every child gets to and from school safely this term. 💚💛

This is a fantastic achievement and one that should make you all very proud. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to becoming safe drivers has paid off.

🏐💚 Congratulations to our SBL2D Mixed Netball Teams on a fantastic season! 💚🏐

South Burnett Learn to Drive (SBL2D) would like to congratulate both of our mixed netball teams on their wonderful achievements throughout the season.

🥈 Fast and the Furious finished the season as Runners-Up, putting in an outstanding effort all year and making it all the way to the Grand Final.

👏 Formula None also had a great season, finishing in 4th place and representing SBL2D with pride, determination and sportsmanship. Unfortunately, some of their team members were unable to attend finals games tonight – Matt, Erin, Bec and Jo – but we would like to acknowledge and congratulate all team members on being part of a fantastic season.

We are incredibly proud to be involved with such a wonderful community sporting organisation and to support local players both on and off the court.

Thank you to all the players, coaches, volunteers, officials and supporters of Kingaroy Netball Association, who make community sport possible. We look forward to another great season ahead!
