Today we had Justin’s black FGX XR6 Turbo in for some upgrades and a custom AllSparks Performance tune.

Before it could hit the dyno, we fitted a set of 1150cc injectors and a Walbro 460 fuel pump to give the Barra the fuel system support it needed.

With the hardware sorted, it was time to strap it to the rollers and let Frank work his magic.

The result? A healthy 329rwkw on 16psi running on 98 pump fuel 💪

That’s a fantastic result for a relatively simple combination and makes for a seriously fun street car with plenty of punch when you put your foot down.

More importantly, the XR6 now runs, drives, and responds exactly how it should, making the most of the upgrades fitted.

Safe to say Justin left with a completely transformed FGX and a big smile on his face 😎

Dave brought in his tough black VY Calais this week for a custom tune after years of building this turbo LS-powered beast himself.

With a special deadline approaching, his child’s first birthday on the weekend, it was time to get the car finished, tuned, and finally on the road.

Once bolted up to the hubs, Frank got to work behind the laptop and dialled the combo in properly.

The result? A stout 547rwkw on just 12psi 💪

That’s an impressive number for a standard rebuilt LS and a perfect example of what can be achieved when the combination is right and the tune is on point.

More importantly, the Calais now runs and drives exactly how it should, ready for Dave and his family to finally enjoy after all the hard work that’s gone into the build.

Safe to say Dave was absolutely wrapped with the result and even happier to have the car ready in time for a very special family milestone 😎

Today we had Joe bring in his VL LE Calais to sort out an ongoing misfire issue.

After trying a number of things himself without success, Joe decided it was time to bring it in and let us get to the bottom of it once and for all.

The boys carried out a thorough inspection and quickly found the issue. Some components in the ignition system had recently been changed, however the ECU hadn’t been calibrated correctly to suit the new setup.

After recalibrating the ECU and correcting the ignition timing, the misfire was completely eliminated and the car was back running exactly as it should.

Sometimes it’s not the parts themselves causing the problem, it’s making sure everything is working together correctly.

Joe can now get back to enjoying his VL with confidence knowing it’s running smoothly once again 😎

Today we wrapped up Sam’s R33 Skyline with a custom AllSparks Performance tune.

Having recently purchased the car with all the modifications already fitted, Sam wanted to make sure it was running, driving, and performing the way it should.

Once strapped to the rollers, Frank got to work and dialled the combo in properly. With a number of quality goodies already fitted to the RB, the Skyline responded well and laid down a healthy 305rwkw on E85 💪

While there was more power left in the combination, we kept things safe and reliable at 305rwkw and provided Sam with a list of items that will need attention before we turn it up further.

The result is a Skyline that now runs and drives significantly better than before, with plenty of potential left in reserve for the future.

Safe to say Sam was wrapped with the outcome and excited to finally enjoy his R33 the way it was meant to be 😎

We wrapped up this Mitsubishi EVO 8 MR for the boys at Motorlab this week, finishing it off with a custom AllSparks Performance Haltech tune.

This EVO came to us with a well thought out combination, including:

• Stock bottom end
• Kelford 272 cams
• Kelford valve springs
• 1150cc injectors
• Walbro 525lph fuel pump
• GTP712 turbo
• Tomei dump pipe & front pipe
• Custom 3.5” exhaust
• Haltech Elite 2500 ECU

With Frank behind the laptop working his magic, the EVO laid down an impressive 313kw to all four wheels on E85 💪

For a stock bottom end combo, that’s a fantastic result and makes for one seriously quick street car.

With all-wheel-drive traction and over 300rwkw on tap, this EVO is going to be an absolute weapon on the street and an absolute blast to drive.

Another tough combo sorted and ready to enjoy 😎

We had Ash’s FG Turbo in this week for a round of upgrades to help prepare it for the next stage of its build.

With plans to turn the boost up and chase some more power from the Barra, it was the perfect time to strengthen a few key areas and take care of some preventative maintenance.

Work carried out included:

• ARP head studs
• Boundary billet oil pump gears
• Genuine Ford timing chain kit & guides
• Crow Race valve springs
• Tuff Mounts engine mounts
• Gloss black rocker cover

With these upgrades completed, this tough 4.0-litre Barra is now better equipped to handle more boost and whatever comes next.

A solid foundation is the key to making reliable power, and Ash is now one step closer to his goals 💪
