We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Katherine Diesel Repairs.
The ideal mechanic would be Heavy Vehicle qualified, but mechanics with Light Vehicle trade qualifications and experience in Heavy Diesel machinery will also be considered.
At Katherine Diesel Repairs we pride ourselves in getting the job done right the first time. To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate knowledge & skills in diagnostics, with sound technical and communication skills.
The successful applicant must have:
- Heavy Diesel Trade Qualifications OR Light Vehicle qualified with Heavy Diesel experience
- The ability to investigate and problem solve issues across a wide range of vehicles, trucks and machinery
- Ideally possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge or have a keen interest and ability to learn
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
- Ability to work O/T and travel remotely as required
- Commitment to safety and efficiency
BENEFITS
- Permanent full time position
- $40-$60/hr depending on ability/experience
- Position based in Katherine NT
