Only a few days left for the online EOI. The information will help our Sports Sedans get organised for 2027 and future seasons.

If you are not ready, don't worry, you can always DM our pages when you want more details.

We'll put a link to the EOI in the comments for those who can provide feedback now.

We're now looking forward to welcoming a new crew of competitors for the 2027 season, the EOI gathering has exceeded expectations.

While the EOI has been gathering interest in TTSS, we've also been contacted by people who fit the outright Sports Sedans and Invited Cars Championship at the same time, and we look forward to seeing some of them join in soon as well.

As we motor towards Bathurst Sunday, the online Expression of Interest for TT Sports Sedans is counting down as well.

The online EOI is closing up at 10pm after the Great Race finishes.

The response has been excellent, and we'll be back to each of the respondents who left their details asap.

But there's been a lot of messages as well, so there's a heap of responses to work through.

If TTSS has grabbed your attention feel free to EOI, we'll put a link in the comments. If later in the year you want to know more, simply DM the page.

Stay tuned in the following weeks as we keep working on the 2027 planning across all our Sports Sedans and Invited Cars Championship racing.

A big thank you to the team at Morgan Park Raceway for helping spread the word about our Queensland Sports Sedan Racing search for even more people interested in TT Sports Sedans.

It’s always a challenge getting any new message out, being volunteer-based adds its own time imitations too, but for TTSS we're also adding to the effort by trying to connect with new people who may never have even heard of the QRDA before, or even know anything about Sports Sedans racing.

Having these assists from other organisations is very helpful indeed.

TTSS gives a group of people the chance to race each other in more restrained builds while being an integral part of the Sports Sedans scene. If you are looking for more information because that sounds like you simply DM us here or on our Sports Sedans page.

🏁 Interested in making the move into Sports Sedans racing?πŸš—πŸ’¨

Queensland Sports Sedans is seeking expressions of interest from current and potential competitors as it develops its 2027 Championship field. 🀩

This includes TT Sports Sedans, a series within the Championship aimed at more simplified floor pan builds. The wider Championship also welcomes interest from Sports Sedans and Invited Cars that don’t fit the TT Sports Sedans specifications.

🏁 Whether you’re returning to racing or coming from sprints, track days, time attack or another form of motorsport, you can find out more and register your interest here: https://tally.so/r/rjXQyp

The EOI closes at 10 pm on Bathurst Sunday, 11th Oct. For more information, visit https://www.qrda.asn.au/ttss.php or contact the Queensland Sports Sedan Racing page with questions.

Five different ways to get into Sports Sedans & Invited Cars in 2027. Do you want to go circuit racing? Having a time of it figuring out where to start?

We've welcomed a number of new drivers to our Queensland Sports Sedan Racing this year and there's still a number of our regulars set to return in the future. But we're not done yet, not by a long shot!

TT Sports Sedans - needing to be made into a Two-wheel drive car if not that way from factory, and needing to have started off as a Two-row seating road car, these are built as Floor Pan Sports Sedans but use their own series regulations to keep builds simpler and more touring car oriented in their construction. These Sports Sedans use the factory body shell with very restricted modification, but at the same time major engine swaps, Sports Sedans front spoilers and single element rear wings, allowance to convert from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive and a slew of other freedoms allow people to build a car that still screams Sports Sedan and performs accordingly. If you are interested in racing in a group where freedom counts but your fellow competitors are all wanting to keep budgets under control, this could be the one for you - it's in development and looking for you; see the comments for a link to the EOI which is open until 10pm on Bathurst Sunday.

4WD Sports Sedans - these also need to use the original body and a number of original components, but the body is allowed to be chopped up more than TT Sports Sedans. Contact us for more details if you are interested in using a 4WD car in Sports Sedans next year.

Floor Pan Sports Sedans - these need to be built as 2WD cars, but a significant amount of original body shell can be thrown away. Move the engine into front-mid position, use a transaxle, put Supercars or GT sized wheels, tyres and brakes on it, you can build a car that goes toe-to-toe with the spaceframe cars.

Spaceframe Sports Sedans - also needing to be made into 2WD cars, everything you can do to a Floor Pan car you can do the same to a spaceframe car, but with these you can build your own tube frame chassis and drop a silhouette of a car on top of it!

Invited Cars - if you have a car that is compatible with Sports Sedans for racing, reach out to us, there's pre-invited cars based on the category they are prepared for, and the option to invite an individual car if it's not otherwise allowed for.

So get excited for 2027, we have a heap of drivers from this season and seasons past, five different pathways into the championship, plenty of interest in what we are doing for the future, and we're constantly on the lookout for our next generations of Sports Sedans racer to grow the Queensland scene.

Come circuit racing with the QRDA in 2027, have a fresh look at what Sports Sedans can offer you!

The Sports Sedans are looking to open up a whole sub-community just ready and inviting for people who want to race some cars with decent levels of modification, just not to the literal extreme that Sports Sedans allows.

More specifically, our leader in Sports Sedans is on the lookout for new people to circuit racing, rather than just people moving from one category to another.

If any of this sounds like a bit of you... check out Queensland Sports Sedan Racing and the planning for a TT Sports Sedans Series within.

2027 planning is ramping up and we now have access to an online Expression of Interest for TT Sports Sedans.

This is more than a simple yes, no, maybe. If you are genuinly interested, it is around 2 to 5 minutes to complete the EOI depending on what you can spare the time to answer and which questions you skip.

LINK WILL BE IN THE COMMENTS!

The EOI will be open until 10pm on Bathurst Sunday. If you aren't in a position to be one of our EOI's but you would like to know more about TT Sports Sedans, don't be worried about DM'ing the page and asking; many people already have, and from much further away than just Queensland.

Importantly, it's not a breakaway, it's not a new category, it's intended to provide for a growing family of similarly restricted builds of floor pan construction Sports Sedans. We are looking for the next generation of Sports Sedans competitors, and TTSS is intended to create a great home within our scene for returning drivers, new circuit racers, people stepping across from sprints and other speed events, as well as people who want the freedom to radically modify their tin top car but have no intention of going to the full extent the outright Sports Sedans allow for.

Having said that, if you aspire to a spaceframe silhouette Sports Sedan or TA2 somewhere in the future but feel it's a step too far straight away, TTSS will be an excellent place to spend a season or three having fun, learning, and leaning on the racers currently in those outright cars for some tips and tricks and things to look out for before making the step up yourself.

TTSS 2027 EOI is open!

Close to our heart is the Sports Sedans category, with our membership filled with numerous Sports Sedans racing members, and our role as Queensland's designated Sports Sedan club fully embraced.

Our specific Queensland Sports Sedan Racing page is continuing to bring attention to the category, QRDA members or not, and through the backend of the year it will be increasing emphasis on where Sports Sedans fit into the Queensland scene heading towards 2027.

A clear pathway for new competitors.

As we continue our great season of racing, there is also the view to the future and the changing world to recognise.

Where do we fit?

Putting things simply, we're at the most modified end of the options, more than Production Cars, also more than Replica Tourers.

Can you still race those cars and others as a Sports Sedan? For most cars, Yes.

We offer many people the 'opportunity' to go racing for a variety of reasons and purposes, because the rules are very open and almost any other touring car will fit. We have people join in with us for reasons as simple as doing a one-off appearance to get their last Motorsport Australia P-plater signature before a certain date or other event.

But when it comes to new competitors looking for their first foray into circuit racing, or returning competitors checking out their options for their next challenge, we're here looking to grow the cars that collect together as the most modified in the state ~ and building up a strong community of Sports Sedans supporters enjoying each round racing together is the priority.

Stay tuned, tomorrow we'll have an EOI available for TT Sports Sedans which is intended to be our optional entry point. The EOI will be open until 10pm on Bathurst Sunday and help plan for 2027.

Then, over the coming months we'll double-down on the message about three different styles of outright Sports Sedans ~ spaceframe silhouettes, floor pan construction 2WD, and those using the floor pan and other restrictions with 4WD.

We also have a variety of Invited Cars to cover, and those include TA2/Trans Am.

And while we promote the MA Championship which is open to any competitor from any club, the QRDA Inc remains your go-to for all things Sports Sedans related as Queensland's member of the national body. Looking for an MA-affiliated club? Check out the QRDA Inc.

Round 5 included the debut of Cooks Separator Maintenance on one of the Escorts of Improved Production.

Bruce Cook has spent the year at the pointy end of the QRDA club championship, but unfortunately the new sign writing was probably a high point for the weekend just gone.

The engine will need some work, seeing the Cook team heading home before Race 1 and too much to do to return for Sunday.

We wish them well with the ensuing rebuild, and hope to see Bruce back on track as soon as possible.

It’s been an otherwise packed and entertaining year for the little turbo Ford, including a quick bolt down the road to Sydney Motorsport Park.
