Towing a caravan this school holidays? Make sure you actually know your numbers first.

Most people check the trailer weight and think they’re good — but there’s a second number that catches families out: ball weight.

Here’s the deal:
💡 Towing capacity: max weight your vehicle can pull
💡 Ball weight: max load allowed on the tow ball

You can be inside your tow limit and still be over your ball weight. That combo means your setup is non-compliant, and that’s before we even talk about what it does to how the vehicle handles on the highway.

If your current limits don’t match your setup, GVM, GCM, and brake tow capacity upgrades can increase them. Available on a range of vehicles.
