Last night's meeting kicked off with a $15 winner, but his large price didn't mirror how impressive he was.

Roman Rocks (Shima Shine - Wendy Rocks) powered to a 25.35 gallop off box one, just .10 outside the evening's best for owner Mitchell Barnaba and trainer John Dart.

We need the judge!

Hardly anything separated Bentley Kristoff (box eight) and Moet Magic (box four) at Q2 on Thursday night, with the former getting the nod in one of the closest finishes of the year.

It gave Bentley the 10th win of his career from just 19 starts for owner Chad Pearce and trainer Mathew Reid.

Talk about omen bets!

Mccluggage (box one) - named after gun Brisbane Lions midfielder Hugh Mccluggage - keeps the winning theme alive after the AFL side achieved a masterful three-peat!

The canine version is no slouch either, winning 12 of his 20 race starts, including yesterday's 25.46 on Q1!
