Ol' Mates Place - Opening for school holidays! 🎉🎉

What better way to enjoy the school holidays then to come stay at the park that's right next door to one of the best Cafes money couldn't buy! 🏆🏆

Check out these beautiful shells (Named: magnificent volute) or (Cymbiola magnifica) one of our lovely guests found on Main Beach today! Feast your eyes shell hunters! 🐚🐚

Some fun facts for the magnificent volute:

These beautiful shells are endemic to Australia and exclusively found along the east coast! 🇦🇺

They have a snorkel siphon, which means whilst hidden in the sand they stick a tube-like structure called a siphon out of the sand to act as a snorkel! 🤿

They are one of the largest volute species in the ocean, with shells that grow up to 36cm long! 📏

Lucky for them, these beauties are allowed to go home with them as they abide by all the collection rules for NSW! ✔️

Congrats guys, hope there's more happy shell finding stories to come for our guests! 🥰🐚
