Hello, and Welcome to 2023! It's been a busy year, with lots of developments in the Pro Steer range of integral power steering boxes. I now have boxes for Ford Customline, Falcon XK-XP, Falcon XR-XY, Holden FE-EK, Holden EJ-HR, Holden HK-HG, Chev 55-57 RHD and R Series to CM Valiants. While several of the later Valiants had an OEM power steering box available, it was large and bulky and compromised header fitment and now, parts for them are extremely hard to find. I have all of the above boxes in stock, but only one HK-HG unit until a new batch is cast, hopefully by the end of January. Of course, I have a full range of Borgeson LEFT hand drive power boxes, as well as a huge range of uni joints, rag joints, AN adapters, pump kits, etc. Call me to find out if I have what you want. John. Jan 17 2023.

Hi guys, another update January 25. The next batch of Valiant power steering boxes have been cast and machined, plus I have the sector shafts ready. All I am waiting on are the seal kits. They were ordered in early December and had to come from OS, so should be here soon. The Holden (HK-HG) boxes have been cast and machined, but I am also waiting on seal kits. The XW-XY Falcon boxes are about to be cast and should be ready in February, if the seals get here. Depending on how well sales go, I am looking at getting a power box for the Ford Customline and Mainline cars, but will have to get a pattern made first. Probably April at the earliest if things go well. I have been talking with the producer of Rides Down Under and he wants to show the Pro Steer boxes in the next film shoot, so keep your eyes on Seven Mate.
More updates as they come. Cheers.

Hi guys and gals, time for another update. On November 1, I completed assembly and testing of my first Chrysler Valiant power steering box. You can check out the details at Valigrunt Performance, where they have already started to take orders for this box. Today, Melbourne Cup Day, I will be putting more boxes together to catch up with those orders. Tomorrow, I am visiting the foundry to finalise the machining of the Holden HK-HG boxes that should be ready by the end of November. Covid-19 has really slowed things down but now that restrictions are being lifted, I can get more work done on these MADE IN AUSTRALIA power steering boxes. Keep watching this site. Cheers.

Hi there, time for an update. Well, thanks to covid-19, my suppliers have slowed down somewhat. The machine shop is working only 2-3 days per week. However, I have had ten HKTG Holden boxes cast and ten sector shafts were just delivered from the heat treatment factory. They just need to be cleaned up and will be ready to fit. The stumbling block now is the seals. I purchased some rather pricey high pressure seals that are giving me grief trying to fit and not have them leak. I am now looking at a different manufacturer and have fitted one of their seals to a Pro Steer power box for a 1963 Ford Compact Fairlane and it works perfectly with no leaks. Hooray!!! We will fit this up next week. Photos soon. Cheers.

New post June 25 2020. I picked up my Holden HKTG sector shafts from the machinist two weeks ago and dropped them off at another factory to have the splines cut on them. last Friday I picked them up and dropped them off at the heat treatment factory. I hope to have them before July 1. Then there is the housings. They have been cast and I was told that they will be machined in mid July. If that happens, then I will be able to put them together and have them ready before the end of July. Fingers crossed.

June 3 and it seems that not much as been happening, BUT, I have had my first batch of sector shafts made and they are at a machine shop having the pitman arm splines cut. Then it's off for heat treatment and then assembly into the new housings. Hopefully there will be a finished product by the end of June. This first batch will be for the HKTG Holdens, then I'm having a batch made for the Valiants. After that, the Ford guys will get the spotlight. Keep watching, I will post more regularly now that something is actually happening. Cheers.

Why a rack and not a proper power steering set-up?😁

Time for an update. I just got back from the USA where I joined the Corvette Caravan out of Seattle to Bowling Green KY. After that, a trip to Borgeson in South Carolina for some business talks and I had a tour over their new factory. I was told about some upcoming developments that will be real eye-openers in the steering world, so watch this space. On the local scene, I dropped in to the pattern maker to check on the progress of the pattern I am having made for the HK-HG Holden. This will be used to manufacture a modern integral power steering box for these cars, wagons, panel vans and utes. No more searching for Datsun 260C steering boxes which require modifications to the box and chassis for fitment. The PRO STEER DOWN UNDER box will bolt straight in and use the OEM Holden pitman arm, so there will be no changes to your tie rods, idler arm, steering arms, drag links, etc. With a much tighter 14:1 ratio, these boxes will make your HK-HG steer like a modern car. I hope to have the box finished by the end of the month and have some castings made in October. Watch this space.
