BLOWN HEAD GASKET💥

A customer brought this Bravo to us as he was concerned it was using lots of coolant & was smoking. We discovered it had combustion gases in the cooling system, indicating a blown head gasket.

Common symptoms of a blown head gasket are:
- unexplained coolant loss
- car getting particularly smokey
- overheating
- oil mixing with coolant

It’s so important you check your fluid levels, get regular servicing done, and reach out if you have any unusual symptoms so we can get to the root of the problem before any more damage is done!

⏱️Moments from disaster!⏱️

This Subaru was in for a general service, and while checking over it we found that the coolant reservoir was completely empty!

It didn’t take long to find that the radiator had a severe leak. If it was left much longer it could have been an expensive outcome.

Make sure that you’re regularly checking the basic fluid levels on your car! It will help you catch issues early.

Hey Westune fam. We are so grateful for all your support and for trusting us with your vehicles. When we first started out, we had a bit more of an open schedule which allowed us to get people in sooner. We are so thankful for your business and now our books are much more full. We’re also finding that maintaining a healthy work life balance is something that needs to be actively pursued and maintained!! As a result, we are typically booked out for 2-3 weeks. Please keep that in mind when thinking about scheduling your service or calling for repairs! Get in early if you can🧡

PSA: We are closed Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th of June!

We are taking a short break this week to tip the work life balance scale back a little. It’s been a hectic start to the year and we appreciate the love and support from you guys - taking a break every now and then allows us to give our best to you all.

Fully shut tomorrow, Hamish will be in to take calls on Tuesday.

PS: At the moment bookings are typically open 2-3 weeks in advance, so keep that in mind when organising your service/repairs!
