If an all-new GPZ900R appeared in the Kawasaki range next year 😍

Using the motor from the 2026 Z900, the GPZ would make 125bhp and 73 ft-lb torque – that's 8% more power and 14% more torque than the original 1984 GPZ.


The reason the power figures aren't substantially higher? Cost. Using the Z900 engine makes this a feasible proposition, plus it's highly likely that in today's stringent emissions age, a useable 150bhp with decent torque would likely need 1000cc-plus (probably a tuned version of the current 1100 engine), so we couldn't technically call it a GPZ900 any more.

Also, have you tried a modern day Z900? They are amazing motors, perfect for road use.

This concept was originally created a few years back using the H2 engine, but many of you asked for the 900 motor, so here it is!
