Want to get more out of your supervised practice?

Instead of trying to improve everything at once, choose one skill to focus on before you leave the driveway.

A short drive with a clear goal can often be more useful than a long drive without a plan.

For your next supervised drive, choose one skill to focus on:

✅ Keeping a safe following distance
✅ Checking mirrors regularly
✅ Positioning correctly before turns
✅ Reading speed signs and adjusting early
✅ Looking further ahead for potential hazards

Before you leave, agree with your supervising driver on the skill you'll practice. Afterwards, spend a few minutes discussing what went well and what you can work on next time.

Building good driving habits happens one skill at a time.

If you're unsure what to focus on next, bring that question to your next lesson with AAA Team, Sandro and Anil.

🚗 Term 4 starts tomorrow!

Remember: NSW school zones operate on notified school days, including school development days.

Even if there are no students around, school-zone speed limits still apply during the times shown on the signs.

If you're practising for your driving test this week, make checking school-zone signs part of your routine.

Drive safely and start the new term the right way.

Driving test tip! The one manoeuvre every learner gets in the NSW driving test 🚗

A kerbside stop and hill start will be part of every driving test, so it's worth practicing until it feels natural.

Here are a few things to remember:

✅ Find a good spot to pull over. Check your mirrors and blind spot, indicate, and smoothly move in towards the kerb.

✅ Stop close to the kerb without touching it.
✅ Secure the car properly before you switch off.
✅ When moving off, stay in control and avoid rolling backwards.

A lot of learners spend time worrying about parallel parking, but the kerbside stop and hill start are guaranteed to be in your test.

Get this one right and you'll be giving yourself a great start on test day.
