JP Customs will NOT be taking any more bookings for the year 2022 and we will NOT be taking on any more MAJOR work (restorations/full resprays) for 2023. Our calendar is already full and we need to get jobs completed to our extremely patient customers who have been waiting for too long already. 2023 we still have limited spots for smaller jobs but they are filling up fast. Please remember its only me (JP) here with the help of a brilliant panel be**er (only available for limited hrs) so your patience is extremely appreciated. If we already have spoken verbally or through messages we will have you booked in and will get to you asap. Thank you

Alot of people seem to think we only paint cars..... well here's an Aerofoil (aka fuel scoop or wind deflector) off a Caterpillar prime mover. This thing is huge. Its had some fiberglass repairs done elsewhere so it was our job to tidy up the repairs, sand off all the delaminating clear coat, prime the whole thing, block sand it so it was nice and smooth and then hit it with metallic silver and DNA Diamond clear. Came up so good the owner reckons the rest of the truck needs some love now! So no matter what you have, if it can be painted, we can paint it!!

Everyone knows i love drag racing.... so i get pretty excited when customers bring me stuff to paint off drag cars. Adam Duncan "aka Duncs" brough his fiberglass bonnet in needing some serious modifications. We contacted Brad Nelson from Shutdown fiberglass for his professional help with filling the massive hole cut out of the center of the bonnet. After Brad did an amazing job with the fiberglass we sent the bonnet home with Duncs so he could cut the new letterbox hole and get it back to us for the final filler and paint work. We shaped it up, did a few minor repairs and layed the beautiful gloss red down. We think it turned out sexy as hell. I always was a sucker for a lady in red!!!

You've gotta love a magnificent outcome. Cara brought her daily Cruiser in for a bit of a facelift.... and what started out as a closed door respray in original white on the cab, then turned into an open door colour change in Toyota Pearl white and then turned into this beautiful bit of eye candy! We went Holden Morphious purple with the colour change and went satin black with the highlights. Blasted the bullbar, scrub rails and rims and coated them in satin black. We then moved onto the tray which was blasted and primed elsewhere but came to us to get colour matched to the cab. We raptor lined the under side of the tray and mud guards black, painted the top of the tray and tray sides purple and tinted some raptor liner purple for the inside of the tray sides. We then had a new hood lining and windscreen installed, wraped the roof console to match and new door trims made. We painted the old light brown on the bottom of the dash satin black and colour coded the door handles and window winders purple. While we were sorting the paint side Caras legendary partner Shane was here in secret fitting new spot lights, wiring in a new winch and tail lights, fitting seat covers and mud flaps, fixing wiring and any other little bits and pieces he could find to surprise Cara and give her the Cruiser she dreamed of... (well played sir)! The outcome is absolutely killer and we hope Cara enjoys it for many years to come!!!

My cousin Chris gave us his VE R8 Clubsport bonnet a few years ago now with clear instructions on what he wanted. I had a trade qualified panel be**er working for me at the time and i passed the bonnet and instructions on to him. He brought the bonnet back to me all but painted so i final blocked it, painted it and delivered it to Chris in Townsville. 2 years later I got it back as it had cracks appearing on both sides of the scoop. After blocking the cracking areas it was apparent that the "qualified" panel be**er had followed NONE of the instructions and simply filled a good bonnet with bog, up to 3 inches thick in some places and welded absolutely nothing. After a few hours of cutting the reverse cowl bonnet into sections and sanding where the original flutes were i was able to remove massive chunks of bog and then start the repair the way it was supposed to be! I cut small templates to be welded into where the flutes were and also templates to weld the top and bottom bonnet skins together. After that i fiberglassed the cutout sections back into the bonnet and began the small amout of filler work to shape it back to how it should be. We then polyprimed it, blocked it, HS primed it, blocked it, then basecoat and cleared it. It came up sexy as hell and now that i've done the job myself im 100% positive that now it wont crack like last time!! Ive delivered it back to Chris in Ayr and ill be back up there in a few weeks to cut and buff it before he heads to a car show in Townsville. Big thanks for all your patience mate!!

The first 4 pictures were the supplied instructions the first time we got the bonnet.

Another quick job off the list. Kaitlynn called us with her Suzuki SX-4 needing some love. The clear had completely broken down on the roof, bonnet, the roof pillars, the mirrors, the rear bumper and the top of the front guards, the headlights were in desperate need of restoration... and on top of all that someone had run into the rear quarter and dented it. We pulled the dent out, stripped the sun damaged areas, repaired, primed and painted it and it now looks all shiney and cute again. Hope you like it Kaitlynn!

Layton brought us his Toyota Prado and wanted to tidy up his rims. He wanted his car to have a silver paint job with black highlights and the original alloy wheels didnt suit his vision. We removed the wheels and cleaned off all the dirt and grime, we then sanded both the inside and outside face of the rim and painted the inside of the rim first. We then masked the inside off and painted the outside of the wheel. We also unpicked the chrome toyota badge from the centercaps (keeping them chrome) and gave the cap a coating of Debeers Belair black to match. We think they came up schmick and gives the car a whole new look. We hope you like it Layton.
