Hi guys,
With the financial year now closed out, tax time is just around the corner and renewals have started to roll through for things like the courtesy car rego and insurance, business insurance, tuning tool subscriptions, workshop lease, etc. and there have been a lot of increases that I just can't absorb.
Unfortunately for the first time since opening nearly 3 years ago, I will need to up my prices to stay in business.
I've chatted to a few shops, and the average price for a typical tune seems to fall around the $1500 mark, with some shops considerably more than that. We operate a fairly tight, low overhead, 1-man workshop, so I'll be able to keep prices below the average and as affordable as possible.
New pricing from August 1st will be $1250 for a standard ECU tune. This is also now a flat rate price for any model car. Whether it's a ZD30 I need to bench tune, an LC200 I need to remove the front shaft on, a Hilux with "exhaust mods", an LS commodore, or a stock Ranger, the price is now the same regardless.
LC200 and 4JJ3 Dmax/BT50 engine and gearbox tune packages are priced at $2000.
Dyno power runs and a tune check-up is $250.
Standalone ECU tuning (Haltech Elite, Link G4X/G5, and Emtron) will remain POA as the hours involved vary wildly depending on the setup.
I will also no longer be offering "retunes" on cars tuned elsewhere at a reduced rate. If you want me to tune your car, it'll be full price. I often spend longer on these cars, and in many cases just revert to stock and tune from scratch so it just doesnt make sense.
Any bookings for the month of July will remain at existing pricing. So if you want to lock in a small saving, give me a call and make a booking.
Hope you all understand.
Thanks,
Ryan
