Built to push limits.

McConaghy Boats built both Wild Oats X and the legendary Wild Oats XI - one of the most successful offshore racing yachts in history.

Launched in 2005, Wild Oats XI claimed a record nine Rolex Sydney Hobart line honours victories and helped redefine modern maxi yacht performance through advanced composite construction and continual innovation.

More than a race yacht, Wild Oats XI became a benchmark for what lightweight engineering and precision boatbuilding could achieve.

Now as Palm Beach XI, this yachts' innovative journey continues, more to be revealed soon.

Innovation has defined McConaghy since day one.

Founded in 1967 by John McConaghy, the company began by building skiffs and catamarans using materials never before seen in marine construction. In the mid 1970’s, we became one of the first to apply prepreg carbon to sailing boat construction.

Built using materials previously only seen in aerospace applications, McConaghy’s first 18ft prepreg carbon skiff was a revelation that would set a performance benchmark for years to come.

More than 50 years later, that same mindset continues to shape every yacht we build.
