Mud N Tars Club Championship, Parawa MX Round 2, a sunny, warm & almost windless day greeted the riders & spectators, the track was perfectly groomed, slightly damp in places under tree cover, but firmed & loamed up nicely as the day progressed,
Chase had another rippa weekend in all 3 classes he raced in, with the Team Green Machines firing up & onto the podium.

Starting off with the 65cc combined age class, Chase on his Kawasaki KX65cc walked away with a 1st, 1st, 1st to take a solid 1st place in the U12, battling with some of the over 12 kids, he rode hard & consistent placing 2nd overall.

This was followed by the Small Wheel 85cc combined age class, Chase Kawasaki KX85cc, placed 2nd, 2nd, 2nd for a 2nd in class & also 2nd outright,
Daniel Banks from Banks Race Development worked some of his magic & fine tuned the suspension while we were in the NT for a family gathering,
Chase with limited ride time on the upgrades looked to be adjusting into the new settings well, & certainly looked to be improving throughout the day, the bike handling looked to be right on point with Chase's landing & corner speed consistently faster than his previous times at this track.

The 110cc aircooled class was very close with plenty of dicing to take etween 1st 7 2nd place with 3rd nipping hard on the heels of the leaders, 1st, 1st & 2nd for 1st outright.

Of note was the fact that Chase, had some fantastic starts - Hole Shotting every race start in every class, Race mate Angus Nankivell was the only rider to get close & fought really hard for his place on the podium as well :)

SAORC Rds 5 & 6 both days in the Sprint format, day 1 was in & out of trees, open flat out section & lots of deep mud sections, a solid day of racing had Chase in 4th place with only 3 1/2 minutes separating the top 4 places, this seeded Chase into a fast group for the next days Racng.

Day 2 had more tree sections with sand & clay making for a flowing loamy track, a solid effort built on Saturdays result had Chase pushing hard onto the back of 2nd place, both riders gaining & losing time to each other over the 8 laps raced, Chase eventually settling for a solid 3rd place.

We now prep the bikes for Round 2 of the Mud 'N' Tars MCC Parawa MX this sunday 23/08/26,

Day 2 of the SA OFFROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS, Chase raced in the JJ class on the Kawasaki KX65, an awesome first lap in the sprints saw Chase up against 85cc, 250cc & 125cc bikes, all seeded on single lap times, & starting off 30 seconds apart, giving Chase 8 runs in the Sprint Format, on the first lap he jumped up 3 spots for the second lap release, gaining solid momentum & riding really well enabled consistent gains in his class position, & he continued to push on solidly into 2nd position & kept the pressure on.

Seventeen bikes failing to finish (DNF) over all classes on Day 2 due to engine failures & rider withdrawals due to injuries, created an opportunity for Chase to push into some some clear air & to push up the ladder into P3, the first few laps a couple of Meteor laps had Chase pushing into 1st place territory, OJ responded to the pressure & upped his game which led to some too & froing for 1st place honours.
As the track deteriorated, contributing to a couple of minor low speed get off's on the last lap, without losing any positions, Chase kept the pressure on & eventually settled for a solid second place 3:20 minutes behind the leader with a solid 8 minutes lead on 3rd place,
Bikes to be cleaned & serviced, ready for 2 weeks time.

SA OFFROAD Enduro race meet with Cross Country format today, dead engine start saw Chase sn**ch the hole shot & run up past the pits flat out in first position,
The first lap saw the combined 85cc & 65cc classes sort themselves out with Chase dropping back through the field where he battled hard to regain some positions,
2nd lap refuelling gave us an indication of fuel use, enabling us to adopt a 3 lap refuel stratergy which we ran through to the end of 1-1/2 hour, Chase pushed hard finishing on P4,
We have prepped the bike, Changed a rear wheel set up, cleaned an air filter & are set for the Sprint format of racing tomorrow, back to our accomodation

State MX Championship, Day 2. Thick low fog delayed the days racing until after 1030 am. The programme had to be shortened to a practise + one race for each class to allow the programme to complete before the late afternoon sun became an issue.

Class Race 1 in the combined 85cc class saw some fast racing, Chase managed some good starts & held has some solid improvement through his race, the track got really rough in places, a early track walk looking at different lines gave Chase an opportunity to try some alternate lines in traffic, ultimately getting PB lap times & improving on Saturdays times to finish the weekend in P16, a top effort for weekend.

Class 2 in tge combined 65cc class was also fast & had some extremely close racing, Chase nailed his Sunday start & tucked in straight behind the top 5 riders, keeping on the pace & pushed hard to finish the weekend in P7,
We are all very proud of the Teams efforts on our First MX event away from our home track & only the 2nd MX Race on the new Kawasaki Motors Australia kx85, solid room to improve, now we prep for the SA OFFROAD Race in Mannum this coming weekend

SA STATE MX Championship run in Renmark this weekend, last minute decision to enter the event & first MX away from our home track at Mud 'N' Tars MCC Parawa,

First Class Race on the Kawasaki KX85, around 34 riders on the start line, Chase had an awesome start hard into turn 1 in 3rd position, dropping ground to end up P15, in the combined small wheel class, next race on the 85cc started up the order into turn 1 in P5, ended up in P19 in class,
Unfortunatly we had to start this race with puncture in a rear Tyre, which we band aided with some slime to get us through the race, fitting a new tube after racing had finished for the day, all ready for Day 2.

Second Class Race on the Kawasaki KX65, once again an awesome start, not quite able to capitalise on the clear advantage, dropping back in traffic & rejoined the hunt as he gained confidence on the new track, soild finish in P8 both races & hunting & catching another racer as the race progressed & track conditions got tougher.

Early dinner & head to bed ready for day 2,
