TJD Automotive is looking to expand.
I have been running the workshop and website solo for about 2.5 years now, with the business being around for 3.5 years.
It has gotten to (and already past) the stage where the lead times for current/ new work is unrealistic and not fair to myself or customers.
I am looking for a qualified mechanic (no apprentices at this stage) that has experience and a passion for performance work and motorsport. We currently specialise in J*p performance (mainly skyline/gtr) so please keep this in mind.
This opportunity is based at our workshop in Arundel on the Gold Coast.
This is a full time position and pay will be negotiable based on your skills.
What can you expect?
- Mon to Fri work week, 8am to 4pm
- Work on performance vehicles, maintenance and full builds
- Work on day to day mechanical repairs/ servicing etc
- Helping out around the shop with assorted tasks
Helpful skills:
- Working with aftermarket ECUs (Link/Haltech mainly)
- Fabrication, custom exhaust systems, mounting brackets etc (Stainless & Alloy TIG)
- Critical thinking, there is alot of custom work involved
- Engine reassembly
- Wiring (Relay setups, ecu harnesses etc)
It would great to have somebody with some motorsport experience or willing to get involved as we are actively competing in the QLD Time Attack and World Time Attack Challenge.
For the right person, this opportunity is intended to be a long term fit, with the desire in the future to be more involved in the business.
