Sometimes the problem isn’t the part itself — it’s where the part is hiding! 😂
On some vehicles, things like the evaporator, heater box and other A/C components are buried right behind the dash. Which means to get to the faulty component, the dash has to come out… and sometimes it feels like we’re pulling half the car apart!
There’s a fair bit of labour involved in carefully stripping everything down, replacing the faulty component, then putting it all back together properly.
So when you see a big A/C repair quote, this is often why. It’s not just the cost of the part — it’s the hours of work involved in actually getting to it.
Not exactly a 10-minute job! 😅
