Axle measurements matter.

An axle may appear serviceable during a visual inspection, but accurate measurement of the bearing surfaces can identify wear that might otherwise go unnoticed. If these surfaces are undersized or outside the manufacturer’s specifications, the bearings may not seat correctly, potentially leading to movement, accelerated wear and premature failure.

When an axle is found to be outside specification, replacement of the axle assembly may be the safest and most reliable repair. Our team can carefully remove the existing axle group, transfer the required hardware and components, and install the correct replacement assemblies.

As we approach the upcoming holiday period, the teams at Waterson Diesel and CQ Diesel Fitting would like to advise our customers and partners of our operating arrangements, while also wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable break.

Easter Long Weekend
Our workshops will be closed from Friday, 3rd April to Monday, 6th April 2026, reopening Tuesday, 7th April.

Labour Day (QLD) – Monday, 4th May 2026
We will be closed for the day, resuming normal operations Tuesday, 5th May.

Breakdown Support
Throughout all public holidays, our breakdown service will remain available via our usual contact channels to ensure continued support when it’s needed most.
