Next on the checklist… bearings.
Yep — the quiet achievers that no one thinks about… right up until they decide to clock off mid-ride 😅
Often overlooked, but when a bearing “leaves the chat” while you’re out cruising your hog… things go downhill real quick. And not in a fun way.
Sure, you can do the basic visual checks — but that’s only half the story. Both old-school tapered roller bearings and modern sealed bearings need a bit more attention behind the scenes to make sure everything’s running smooth and safe.
Because let’s be honest…
There’s nothing cool about your ride sounding like a shopping trolley with a bad attitude.

You’ve checked your tyres. ✅
You’ve checked your brake fluid. ✅
Feeling responsible yet? Good…
But what about your brake pads? 😏
Because there’s absolutely no point having fresh tyres and clean fluid if your brake pads are basically just emotional support.
Harleys aren’t exactly lightweight… they need all the help they can get when it’s time to pull up.
Worn pads = more noise, less stopping, and a mild heart attack at the next set of lights.
👉 Do yourself (and your nerves) a favour — get them checked before they start screaming louder than your pipes.

Next up on the checklist — brake fluid 👇
Most Harley’s run DOT 4, and it’s something that should be checked at every service — not just topped up, but actually tested for moisture content.

Why? Because moisture in your brake fluid lowers its boiling point, which can lead to brake fade when things heat up… and in worst cases, damage to your ABS unit 💸

This quick test gives us a clear picture of what’s going on inside your system.
Brake fluid should generally be flushed every 2 years, but factors like weather conditions and how/where the bike is stored can speed that up.

👉 Simple check now = avoiding big $$$ repairs later.

With the cold and wet weather creeping in, your tyres are about to earn their keep.

Do them (and yourself) a favour and check them now—before they decide to let go at the worst possible time.
