I fit a new radiator in this vehicle at owners request. He had removed it himself so it arrived on a trailer, and placed all bolts into the vehicle in no order. He then supplied his own radiator which I found to be incorrect for the vehicle. After I supplied the correct radiator and fit, correctly identifying the right bolts in the right hole, the test of the radiator was then carried out. This vehicle has a blown head gasket.
There are 2 things I would like to mention about this. We do not fit supplied parts as the legal side deems us responsible for failure of supplied part, plus there is time wasted on a hoist I can be using to help the next customer instead of waiting for correct part. Secondly removal of any part makes it impossible to diagnose issues that would have been evident had the vehicle been complete.
