This could have been prevented… rubbed through the hoses. Ran new hoses away from the body of the truck and replaced the drier. Ready to keep its load cool again

It’s been very busy these last few months leading up to Christmas. Just got a call out to this ice box in Point Lonsdale. Repaired the gas leak and now the ice box is back to keeping the ice frozen. 🥶

Info on Car Air Conditioning Re-Gas
Hey guys just letting you know that your car / truck air con never needs the gas in it just topped up / regassed. It’s usually a leak or another underlying issue, and by law this needs to be rectified before any gas is topped up or replaced. It’s the same principle as your household fridge it never needs to be just regassed. If it’s not cooling or working properly there is usually an underlying cause. Yes any auto elec or mechanic can put new gas in and charge you for it, but it won’t last and in 6-18months time, the problem will occur again and you will be up for more cost. Just keep this in mind when your asking asking around. Due to the global warming potential of R134a it is essential that the underlying issue that has caused the gas to leak must be rectified. It is a part of the refrigerant handling license.
