Newman Mechanical offer a wide range of services and mechanical repairs. Main focus is customer service. In 2011 saw Newman Mechanical win the Quest Business Achievers Award of which we thank our wonderful customers for the support. 2012 and the workshop is being expanded with a new waiting room, more hoists and possibly more staff to keep up with the demand.

A touring setup changes your service, not just your fuel economy.

Once there is a canopy, a tray, drawers, water and a second battery on board, your suspension, brakes and tyres are all carrying weight the factory never planned for. That changes what is worth looking at, and it changes how often.

It is why we would rather see a touring rig before a trip than after it. Loaded springs, brake wear, bush and bearing condition, tyre pressures for the weight you are actually running, all of it is quick to check on the hoist and expensive to discover on a track four hours from the nearest town.

A symptom might point us in one direction, but testing and inspection are what confirm what’s really happening. Replacing parts based on a guess can get expensive very quickly. We’d rather diagnose the problem properly before deciding what the vehicle needs.
