Great bit of info from powerhouse engines and penrite .iv been running and recommending the penrite 10ths in 15w50 for all my Barra and LS street engines for many years with zero lubrication issues. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EZxpogojz/

Oils ain't oils" is a famous Australian advertising catchphrase created for Castrol motor oil. Launched in the 1980s, some relative info for everyone running e85 Running E85 fuel speeds up engine oil breakdown because ethanol causes higher fuel dilution in the crankcase, absorbs moisture, and creates harsher combustion acids than standard gasoline. This reduces lubrication quality, increasing wear on moving parts if maintenance intervals are not shortened. How E85 Affects Engine OilFuel Dilution: Unburnt ethanol slips past piston rings more readily than gasoline and mixes into your oil sump.Moisture Contamination: Ethanol is hygroscopic, meaning it pulls water from the air and traps condensation inside the crankcase.Acidic Byproducts: Combustion of high-percentage ethanol produces corrosive agents that break down detergent additives in standard motor oil faster.Lower Operating Temperatures: E85 runs cooler, making it harder for short trips to reach the high oil temperatures needed to boil off accumulated alcohol and water.

Pretty cool that this sort of r&d is still happening with ICE development

In my opinion one of the best pistons available for Barra
