Just a preliminary notice as I haven't had time to do it properly. My father in law is selling his Kombi. We rebuilt it two years ago, engine rebuilt from block up, sliding windows, new window and door seals, new interior by Volkstrim, wall and door cards, new carpet, new headliner, new poptop canvas, roof rack, front seats restored, new springs, new pads, new covers. Fabric and vinyl. Giant awning I have to check with him re is it included. Bed is a bed not a rock and roll seat. 1.8 litre engine. Currently on historical plates. Not much to do but enjoy having a Kombi with this one, unless you want to put in a rock and roll bed. Price will be 25k ONO when it gets advertised. Selling due to moving. Currently on the farm near Echuca.

Custom poptop sleeve with a front window to access the roof rack.

I've used a new canvas, the colour range is small, but it is thinner than Sunbrella so folds down nicely. Closer to the weight of canvas used originally. And it is marketed as waterproof, as opposed to water resistant for Sunbrella.

Not much to start with, pulled apart, stuck together, blasted, painted, hand made pads like the old days, new covers and fitting (why are middle seats so hard) and we have a lowlight middle turned into a splitty middle. My hands are sore.😂

Today we did the tinting on the bus the red diamonds are going in.

I always use the best tinter in Melbourne. This guy does Porsche dealers and high end cars and treats your Kombi the same.

Vision Tinter will always do the best job possible, no bubbles no crap. My own van was done ten years ago and not a bubble to be seen. If you look at the tint on his ute you will see he can do anything.

Morning all, these covers are too good to throw away. They would easily fit new pads as they came off new pads. So if you need new covers for a roadworthy or you like the look of them, these are for sale.

TMI repro covers, black with red piping.
Covers only, not seats or headrests.
Only a few years old. Originally some crazy price.

Suit 1979 model with tracks on both seats, or could be modified at extra cost to suit any late bay Kombi.

I have worked on these seats before. The last pic is what was done when I worked with a previous employer. Design choices limited by imported reproduction covers.

I was blessed with this customer giving me creative freedom on this job and a brief to go crazy, but keep it stylish.

Tired of reproduction, believing custom is where it's at is why I started Volkstrim. So that was music to my ears. 😁❤️

A Deluxe bay bus I am working on. Middle seat and rear seat. Reproduced original pads, tmi off white vinyl. Mint green piping to match paint. Back sewn pleats. That's all the seats done, now for the cards...👍

I have to make the pads, because you can't get right hand drive coconut fibre pads. And the fibre pads often don't fit, are too big, expensive and not what they used originally anyway on the rear seats.
