🔥 We’ll take care of the firewood for you here at Alroy, so there’s no need to go collecting it yourself. Each afternoon, you’ll spot the little Jimny and trailer doing the rounds, dropping off a load to your camp.

Now, a quick heads-up — gidgee burns beautifully: hot, slow and perfect for camp cooking or a long night under the stars. If you're a firewood connoisseur - you're in for a treat! ....but the trees do have a bit of a natural whiff … So if you catch a pong in the morning and think the loos are playing up — don’t worry, it’s just the gidgee doing its thing. 🤣🌿

So remember - kick back, grab a drink, and we’ll bring the fire to you. 😉

🛁 Toilets and tubs, outback style!

At Alroy, we like to keep things simple — but that doesn’t mean you miss out on the little luxuries. Our clean amenities are tucked inside good old tin sheds, giving you a hot shower and a proper loo with a view. 🚿🌾

And if you’re in the mood for something a bit special, we’ve got two artesian hot tubs ready for a soak — with mineral-rich hot water straight from deep underground. The perfect way to end a red dirt day! 💧✨

♻️🍻 Yes — we’ve got bottle and can recycling at Alroy!

We’ve noticed you travellers like a drink or two... and fair enough — all that driving must be exhausting 😉

So when you’ve finished your cold one by the fire, just pop your bottles and cans into the recycling bags. It helps us keep the place clean, and a little change from the returns goes back into looking after the station.

It's warming up here 🥵🔥🥵 which means it's time for a break for us. 🌿✨🌻

THANK YOU for visiting. THANK YOU for your help and support. And THANK YOU for sharing what we do with your fellow travellers. We are beyond grateful to be able to live here and share our station with you. 🙏🙏

The campground will be closing from the 13th Oct - until mid March 2026.

We've loved having you stay at Alroy - meeting new travellers and reconnecting with old friends is the best part of our winter season. 🤩🤩

Have a safe summer and we look forward to opening the gates again around March to welcome you back.

👫 Meet Mac and Mary — the heart and soul of Alroy Station. Here’s their photo so you know who to wave to when they roll past in the ute or swing by with firewood! 👋

Mac reckons he’s been here about half his life… but says he’s only halfway done! 😂 Truth is, he was born and raised right here on these 60,000 acres — and there’s not much he doesn’t know about the land, the animals, and the stories woven through it.

These days, Alroy is home to around:
🐑 1300 Merino sheep
🐄 470 cows plus calves
🐫 And .... about 20 camels and 10 calves roaming the red dirt

If you’ve got a question, need a hand, or just want to hear a good yarn, Mac and Mary are never far away. True outback legends with hearts as big as the horizon.

🔥 Meet Mrs Morley— the heart and heat of our camp kitchen.

She’s an old-school beauty with a whole lot of history (just ask Mac & Mary — they’ve got stories!), and while she might look like just a stove, she’s fed shearers, stockmen, and hungry travellers in serious quantities over the years. 🍳🍞

If you’re keen to whip up a batch of scones or cook a proper outback feast, you’re more than welcome to give her a go. Just a heads up — she’s not for the faint of heart! Getting her going takes patience, practice, and a whole lot of timber. 🤣

There’s nostalgia in every crackle and clang, all part of the Alroy experience.
