Get ready for the warmer months ☀️

Your car’s cooling system works hard to stop your engine overheating, especially in an Aussie summer. Over time, old coolant breaks down and can leave behind rust and build-up that make your radiator less effective. A cooling system flush clears out the old coolant and refills the system with fresh coolant, helping your engine run at the right temperature.

Pressure testing, flushing out old coolant, refilling with fresh coolant and checking radiators by hand. Our workshops are busy keeping your cooling system in good shape. You don't often see it, but you'll definitely notice when it hasn't been done.

Why a cooling system flush is important. Our tech walks you through it.

Over time, coolant goes stale, and the engine block can get properly dirty inside. To fix that, we remove the top hose and pump clean water under pressure through the engine block and back through the radiator. This pushes the contaminants out of the system.

Once it's clean, we refill with fresh coolant and pressure test everything to make sure it's sealed and working the way it should.

It's a simple service that goes a long way towards keeping your engine running cool and protecting it long term 🔧

A car that runs hot doesn't always need new parts. Sometimes it just needs a good clean out.

Over time, gunk can build up in your radiator’s small tubes, restricting coolant flow and impacting the whole cooling system. Your radiator and fan can both be working fine, and your car can still overheat because not enough coolant can get through.

To do a coolant flush, we drain out the old coolant, run a cleaner through to remove the gunk, refill with the right coolant for your vehicle, and check for leaks while we're in there.

☀️ Do it before summer, not during. And if you can't remember the last time yours was done, it's probably overdue.

Think we only work on cars? Not quite.

We look after trucks, earthmovers and industrial equipment too. If it runs hot, it comes to us. Some older trucks still run hand-built copper and brass radiators. We can repair those, and if yours isn't made anymore, we can build one from scratch.

A few more things people don't always know:

❄️ If your air con is blowing warm, that's a cooling issue, and we handle that too
♻️ In many cases we can repair your radiator instead of replacing it

What to look out for with your radiator, here's your checklist 👇

5️⃣ Heater blows cold air when engine is warm? Usually means low coolant.
4️⃣ A sweet smell after you park? A coolant leak can smell like syrup.
3️⃣ Coloured puddle under your car? Green, orange or pink, could be a coolant leak.
2️⃣ Coolant reservoir level keeps dropping. It’s going somewhere.
1️⃣ Temp gauge sits above halfway. Risk of overheating and serious engine damage.

Noticed one of these? Get it checked early. A small cooling issue is much easier and cheaper to fix than a damaged engine.
