Although I don't normally do tests or lessons on Tues or Thurs, Daman had a test the day after my accident booked, but had to cancel for obvious reasons. So managed to make today possible to make up the inconvenience and get him passed asap.

Well done cfmoto finding a cheeky way around tail tidy rules, cant see as much tire from the back but rear tail looks clean. Was actually looking at similar setup for ktm.

So just waiting on insurance money to get into bank, but this is the new addition for you all, 2024 CFmoto cf300nk. I could've gotten a new KTM but unfortunately money wise I needed to make smarter choice to allow me to replace my riding gear sooner and KTM dealership just didn't have any stock.

I test rode this bike on Thurs and it ticked all my requirements to be a good bike to pass a test on, tight turn circle, good brakes with ABS, very clear dash and easy to ride.

Although I've previously warned people off CFmoto due to my first hand experience and other students, it seems these last couple years they have made some great changes to their bikes. She comes with 3 year warranty also so very happy with that with all the kms we're gonna be doing.

Well I guess some good news, the KTM 390 duke has been assessed as a total loss, so insurance is going to payout the value of bike and I get to go bike shopping.

She will be missed, so many of you had passed your RE test on her, would have been 2 years next month having it and over 30 thousand kilometers travelled. It really is one of the big downsides to this job when a student gets hurt or bike gets to damaged to continue, least it was me and not one of you.

Was also my first ride back on the bike today since the crash, was painful and glad only had to ride couple hours, iam getting there people thanks for being patient with me while I recover.

Hey all, slowly getting better, have started a gofundme page to help buy new riding gear as insurance isnt covering everything, but if anyone feels they can help out I'll be so grateful.

funds will first go towards new riding gear then second possibly to replacing the streaming gear that was destroyed in the crash that I use to help students progress quicker and spread safe riding tips.

===update=== iam home now 2nd scan showed no change so neurologist was happy to send me home. Thanks for all the messages of support.

This is why I'll never wear a open faced helmet and you should never also, today unfortunately got hit by a roo at 90kmh, was no way to avoid it. But this helmet and rest of my gear saved my life today, in hospital over night no broken bones but I have slight bleed in my brain, got a 2nd CT scan tomorrow so hopefully good news and I can go home.

In over 20 years of riding I've never had a accident until now, but every second of that time I've always worn all my gear, so please people always wear full gear.

I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
