Peace out everyone, just remember there is a real person receiving that email or phone call that you speak to. Professionalism isn't something we can demand of our customers unfortunately, but we are held to account if ever there is even the tiniest of gap in our service.
On the back of one of our largest months of sales, we sent out a $159 switch from a low km luxury car (34###km) to a repeat customer. Item purchased was well documented and has as per our usual standard, 5-6 high resolution images in the listing.
Customer while on live stream during an internet broadcast accuses us of supplying a counterfeit switch (probably because the label reads manufactured in China by BJA Automotive (a Tier 1 supplier of switches to many German and Italian car brands).
So of course we provide a helpful response with some information on how to report a counterfeit item using the BJA Automotive website.
Customer then completely changes complaint to "unit is broken" without providing any evidence of the damage.
A few over-reactive and rapid-fire emails later, and we have now received the item back. It would be necessary to use a microscope to find the defect that the customer made a massively disproportional reaction in a public meltdown during a live broadcast to try and spruce his content.
And rightfully so, a full refund has now been given to the customer.
I just cant believe how some people can be so wired to find the worst in someone in order to try to make themselves feel like a bigger person.
My feeling is that we have always intended to do the right thing by our customers, and we are there to help as much as possible if something goes wrong. Here is another example where you can try as hard as you can, and still sometimes fail.
