Still takes your breath away no matter how many times you visit. We stayed around for an extra day so we could see Uluru in the rain for the first time, which was definitely worth witnessing. A quick trip yesterday up to Kings Canyon, and then back on the Stuart Hwy today heading south again. Can't believe only 4 days ago we were complaining of the heat and humidity, and now we are freezing and feeling like we are back in Victoria already. ๐Ÿ˜ซ ๐ŸŒงโ„

Very busy week after picking up little sis from Darwin airport for the week!!
Scout and I spent a night in a dog hotel (was more like a jail), so the rest of the family could go tour Kakadu and Litchfield. Then we've raced down through Katherine (lucky to spend the night catching up with Muppet and his family), Mataranka,Tennant Creek, Alice Springs to Uluru so we can drop her at the airport to fly home tomorrow.
I've ended up crook with some sort of stomach bug that requires me to p**p every hour (and Mum didn't get any sleep last night), so I ended up at the Vet to get checked out early this morning. After some poking and prodding, antibiotics, probiotics, buscopan, gastrostop and an injection, hopefully I will start feeling better soon. Lucky I get to rest on Mums lap for the day while we are driving. ๐Ÿถ

The last few days were spent exploring Kununurra, Wyndham, El Questro and Lake Argyle. Beautiful places that you really need a lot more time to explore properly.
Every night we'd get a message reminding us of the high crime activity in the area, and to make sure everything was locked away. Scout and I make such great burglar alarms that no one (or dog) would dare to come near our van (we should start charging for our services).

That's the last of our WA leg, NT here we come!

๐Ÿ”ฅ Didn't expect Broome to be so HOT. Luckily we stayed in a caravan park and could have the air-conditioning running all the time and only went exploring during the cooler parts of the day.
We did all the usual touristy things (except Horizontal falls which will be added to the next trip list when we have more time). Luckily we were there at the right time and also got to see the "staircase to the moon" (full moon and low tide create a staircase look), so got a few photos of that. We thought the sunset on Cable Beach couldn't be any better than the sunsets at all the other beaches up the coast, buuuuuutttttt ended up watching it for 2 nights as it was spectacular (the camels were gorgeous but wafted smells only dogs would love ๐Ÿ˜).
Downside of being a white dog is that with all the red dirt around I'm now pink. Hoping it works in my favour and Scout stops trying to round me up like a sheep! ๐Ÿ‘

Great spot for beautiful beaches and well known for boat tours to spot wildlife. Mum and Dad left us with a sitter for the day and went on a boat tour. I think they are mad, but they said they had a wonderful day swimming with 5 different whale sharks and joined the "1% club" of people in the world that have been swimming with a whale shark. They also saw sea turtles, dugongs, 2 tiger sharks and lots of beautiful coral in the Ningaloo reef. ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿณ

๐ŸฎFirst stay on a working cattle station and it was amazing! Bullara cattle station had it all...quirky outback showers, wandering sheep and horses, mouth watering scones and Cafe treats, private 4x4 track up to the Exmouth Gulf, friendliest staff and so, so quiet each night it was like being home.
Day trip to Coral Bay was a highlight experience (even though we got stuck in the beach sand for 20min). Warm, clear waters, turtles, fish, and fantastic snorkelling. Nice and relaxing (especially when you have the beach to yourself). ๐Ÿš๐Ÿš

Starting to get warmer as we travel north which is good and bad. Apparently we were getting stinky so we got a bath in a bucket yesterday (and I had a bit of a haircut so I stay cool). We stayed at Gladstone Beach where there was a funky outdoor artesian shower, had a stunning sunset and it was quiet enough that Scout was keen to join us for a morning walk. Carnarvon was the next stop and was nice enough that we stayed an extra night and explored the Blowholes, plantation fruit trail, old 1 mile jetty museum, famous (Instagram hit) cactus garden and the space museum.

Another beautiful place to visit in WA.
The amazing clear waters, the "Thong Shack" and meeting a curious family of emus that kept walking past us when we were having a beach day were the highlights. Can't complain about the sunsets either, they are brilliant. โ˜€๏ธ

Scout and I are making lots of new friends these last couple of days. We enjoyed our trip to Cervantes Rangers station where we met Mollie and 2 friendly border collies, and yesterday we spent the day at the Red Dog Kennels meeting lots of different doggies. I think Scout enjoys all the barking dogs (sometimes she even joins in), but I have requested earplugs if we need to go to another kennel in future.
