π§ WILDCAT DIESEL SERVICE UPDATE π§
The work hasn't stopped here at Wildcat! We've been flat out clearing defects, handling maintenance, upgrades, and rebuilds. Here's what we've been up to:
BEN'S T950 - Ben was worried his rear diffs weren't in the best shape on his Kenworth T950, so he asked us to have a peak. Well, it was confirmed, they were absolutely buggered! So we smashed out some diff swaps and got another beast back on the road!
JAN'S- His 1981 Kenworth K100 got slapped with a defect it's in for some serious TLC to get her s**c and span for a VIS visit.
OLD MATE BUSSY - brought his Kenworth T650 in for some loving! We sorted him out with new cab mounts, gave her a full service, and upgraded his headlights from halogen to a shiny new set of STEDI lights. He also asked if we could upsize his hydraulic oil tank to match his fuel tanks, no worries! We sourced and fitted a nice 200L tank with some custom fab work by Robbie to make it fit perfectly. Then he asked if it wouldn't be an issue to get a step fitted to the new tank... I think he forgot he was talking to the best! A few extra hours and a bit more fab work later, a nice step and tank to match.
WELCOME UGLYDOG TRANSPORT - New customer asked if we work on CATs... like that isn't our bread and butter! They suspected a blown head gasket on their Western Star due to cooling system pressure, and boy were they right.
BAZZ'S PETERBILT - Robbie has his old man's Peterbilt in, it was rebuilt in '13 and has only done 140-odd thousand km's, but one of the head bolts has snapped causing the cam to lock up. Luckily the damage doesn't seem too bad! Robbie's made sure to get genuine head bolts this time around, pretty sure the aftermarket ones fitted weren't the best quality as we've found out the hard way. This beast is an import direct from the USA with an S60 swap, so it's a unique one for sure. ! Robbie's chipping away at it during his spare time trying to get this beauty back on the road.
Seeing lots of Kenworth's and American iron coming through. It's good to be spinning spanners on the yank tanks again, that's for sure!
Between all these bigger jobs, we've got plenty of service work keeping us busy. The lads are happier than ever working at Wildcat Diesel Service, plenty of smiles and great attitudes all around! Also a BIG WELCOME to Ronnie, our new workshop dog! Another member of the Wildcat family!
A big shoutout to the lads Robbie, Darren, Brodie, Jaxon, and Jimmy for all their hard work, early mornings and late nights the past few months. I'm really proud of how far we've come in the last 12 months. Above and beyond as always.
