Case 600 Steiger Field Call-Out 🔧🚜

Called out to a Case 600 Steiger with the turbo glowing red hot under load.

After diagnosing the issue, we found the boost O-ring had split in half, causing a significant boost leak. Without the correct boost pressure, the engine was over-fuelling in an attempt to make power, resulting in excessive exhaust temperatures and the red-hot turbo.

A small component causing a big problem! After replacing the faulty O-ring and restoring boost pressure, the engine was back performing as it should.

🔧 Another Case IH Magnum 380 back to work! 🚜

This Case IH Magnum 380 came into the workshop for a full engine and transmission service, ensuring it’s ready to keep performing when it matters most.

While carrying out our inspection, we also diagnosed EHR fault codes and traced the issue to a faulty remote solenoid, which was replaced to restore correct operation.

To finish off, we replaced the bonnet struts and door strut, keeping everything operating as it should.

We’re thrilled to share that Sean and I have partnered with Wade Stewart in his new business Torque & Tillage Diesel!

Torque & Tillage Diesel will be based in Toowoomba QLD.

Wade is a highly skilled heavy diesel mechanic with extensive knowledge of Cummins engines and all aspects of heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance. He’s also fully equipped with ECU tuning software, offering advanced diagnostic and performance solutions.

Torque & Tillage Diesel will proudly service a wide district across QLD and NSW, operating from a fully equipped on-field service vehicle — bringing expert mechanical support right to your farm or job site.

🚜💥 Busy week in the workshop!
Both of these Case IH 9380 Quadtracs came in with front and rear differentials making metal. After full rebuilds, they’re back in top shape and ready to hit the paddock again.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing big gear back to work! 👊

V8 Land Cruiser Ute in the workshop after the owner reported a turbo noise. 🛠️
Inspection revealed a chipped exhaust fin inside the turbo — traced back to a faulty boost control solenoid causing the engine to overboost.
