A few hours later and the whole car is basically in 47 different pieces 😂

Dash out, HVAC box apart, half the interior missing — all to replace an EVAP unit buried deep where Nissan clearly never expected humans to reach it.

Another clean custom job by the team at D.J Auto Electrics NT 🔧

This one’s a bit different — we designed and 3D printed a custom Starlink roof mount bracket for this truck, all done in-house from start to finish.

Using our 3D printers, we were able to prototype, test fit, and refine the design to get a perfect fit for the cab. The end result is a strong, tidy mount that securely holds the Starlink unit in place while handling the harsh NT conditions.

No universal kits, no compromises — just a purpose-built solution made to suit the vehicle exactly.

Ever wondered why an evaporator replacement isn’t a quick job?
This is why 👀😂

Seats out. Dash out. Centre console out. Half the interior having a holiday on the workshop floor — all to get to one little air-con component buried deep behind the dash.

It’s one of those jobs where you start questioning your life choices… but in Darwin heat, a working air-con is non-negotiable. So we strip it down, do it properly, and put it all back together like it was never touched.

Bit of a peeping Tom moment hanging out the side window 👀😂

You’ve got to wonder why manufacturers make some jobs harder than they need to be. This BMW was in for a new air-conditioning compressor, which meant wheels off and working straight through the side where access is… let’s say limited.

Not the easiest job, but we get it done — every time.

We always keep a jar of magic smoke on hand… just in case 😅💨

Unfortunately, this ECU decided to let its smoke out — and once that happens, things stop working pretty quickly. Situations like this aren’t ideal, but the reality is that components can fail, no matter the vehicle or the job.

When they do, we track the fault, diagnose it properly, and fix it the right way — no guesswork, no shortcuts.

All this work… for a single air-con pipe 😅❄️

Sometimes jobs don’t go as smoothly as planned — and in this case, Kia decided the entire front end needed to come apart just to remove one air-con pipe. Not ideal, but that’s part of the job.

No matter the challenge, we take it on and get it done properly — so your air conditioning works exactly as it should, especially in Territory heat.
