Another “quick” EVAP replacement in the workshop 😂

Nothing says fun like stripping half a van apart just to get to one hidden aircon component buried deep in the dash/heater box 😅

From removing interior trims and roof lining sections, to splitting the HVAC box and giving everything a proper clean-out — this one definitely kept us busy 👌

At least the customer will finally have icy cold aircon again instead of that lovely “wet sock” smell 🤢❄️

Dash out, HVAC box apart, half the interior missing — all to replace an EVAP unit buried deep where Nissan clearly never expected humans to reach it.

Big job, but we’re getting it sorted properly 👌🔥

Another clean custom job by the team at D.J Auto Electrics NT 🔧

This one’s a bit different — we designed and 3D printed a custom Starlink roof mount bracket for this truck, all done in-house from start to finish.

Using our 3D printers, we were able to prototype, test fit, and refine the design to get a perfect fit for the cab. The end result is a strong, tidy mount that securely holds the Starlink unit in place while handling the harsh NT conditions.

No universal kits, no compromises — just a purpose-built solution made to suit the vehicle exactly.

This is the kind of flexibility 3D printing brings to the workshop. If you’ve got an idea or need something custom made, we can design and produce it.

Ever wondered why an evaporator replacement isn’t a quick job?
This is why 👀😂

Seats out. Dash out. Centre console out. Half the interior having a holiday on the workshop floor — all to get to one little air-con component buried deep behind the dash.

It’s one of those jobs where you start questioning your life choices… but in Darwin heat, a working air-con is non-negotiable. So we strip it down, do it properly, and put it all back together like it was never touched.

Bit of a peeping Tom moment hanging out the side window 👀😂

You’ve got to wonder why manufacturers make some jobs harder than they need to be. This BMW was in for a new air-conditioning compressor, which meant wheels off and working straight through the side where access is… let’s say limited.

Not the easiest job, but we get it done — every time.
