Slowly but surely progressing. My 70K km engine that I will be turboing. Cleaned up with a wire brush, then deoxidined, new welsh plugs fitted and a coat of paint. Next up the sump and timing cover come off for inspection and to do the front and rear main seals and all new seals for the timing cover, sump and rocker cover. Then the fun stuff starts with new sensors etc etc and finally start bolting up the turbo parts.

Time for the fun to start. I picked up a 70,000km motor to do the turbo build for my Fairlane while it is out of the car. I will freshen this motor up and put all new seals etc while it is out and then I can fit my 6 boost adaptor manifold, BF turbo manifold and Garret 35/76 Turbo out of an FG. I also have a BF intercooler and all factory BF piping to keep the build looking like a factory install. Not chasing massive HP as it is a cruiser. But definitely chasing a factory installed look to confuse people.

Was a good buy for a couple of hundred bucks and keeps the Fairlane on the road while I do the build.

She cleans up ok for 21 years old. Gave the Fairlane a bit of a clean today. So I took it for some photos. For those with a sharp eye yes there is some mods inside and out.

Inside for now the stereo has been upgraded to an apple car play unit. Have new speakers, subs and amps to go in yet but will hide all of it.

Outside I have lowered it 1.5" in the front and 2.5" in the rear. Added FG Falcon 19" Lux pack wheels. I have changed the grill to an LTD unit.

Engine wise I have added an EF intake tube for better air flow and a BF snorkel for more air intake. Have a Turbo setup ready to go on it when I get a Haltech ECM and a better exhaust system. Also have a big brake kit ready to go on it in off an FG Falcon Turbo.
